Job Title: Regional HR Head

Reports To: Assistant Vice President - Human Resources

Work Location: Ahmedabad

Employer Branding and Talent Acquisition (20% weightage):

- Creating a better perception about Brand Sodexo by exhibiting and implementing best people practices of Sodexo in the region

- Creating better Brand Pull by participating in various Industrial, Social and academic forums

Talent Management and Development (20% weightage):

- Spotting the potential of people for the region through an effective talent review process with the Corporate Talent management team

- Working in close co-ordination with the Corporate Talent development Team for creating the talent pipeline

- Employee Engagement and retention (20% weightage)

- Ensuring specific initiatives to retain critical and valued talent in the region

- Ensuring that employees are engaged and they say great about the company, stay longer with improved productivity and strive to excel during their stay with Sodexo.

- Design and implementation of employee engagement calendar

- Managing employee connect activities at the client site spread across various locations

- Reward and Recognition- ensuring proactive implementation of various reward and recognition programs at the client site

Industrial Relations: (10% weightage):

- Acting as responsible employees- champion by ensuring proactive resolution of employee grievances and maintaining a cordial employee relations

- Identifying and managing external influencers for business continuity

- Negotiating and amicably settling disputes with the Union and maintaining discipline & harmonious working environment across all employee levels without having any adverse impact on business

- Interfacing with Statutory Bodies

- Prompt grievance handling

Client Relationship Management (15% weightage):

- Meeting the Client and Customer's HR team to have better expectation management for business continuity at defined frequency

- Showcasing Sodexo's best people practices to the client for sustained growth

Statutory Compliance & Payroll (15% Weightage):

- Ensure a high level of understanding and compliance with existing and proposed legislation for HR

- Ensure the timely payment of salaries to office and staff at client premises

- Liaise with the Government authorities on compliances and labour issues

Key Functional Responsibilities and tasks:

Strategic:

- Ensure relevant organization structure, productivity and efficiency

- HR consultant for new customer acquisition, new business initiatives

- Partner with Regional Business Head with respect to talent management for regional leadership level

- Partner with Functional Head for sharing best practices and being the Sodexo Brand Ambassador in the region to drive the core values.

- Partner with external leadership to have better and ensured industrial relations in the region.

Operational:

- Ensuring Process, Policy and reporting compliance

- Drive Employee Relations Initiatives

- To interact with Regional HR head on matters pertaining to Transfers, promotions, appraisals, increments, rewards & recognitions and separation of employees.

- To create, maintain and share ( with regional Heads) the site wise people data base on monthly basis.

- Responsible for culture building in the region as per our core values and drive change management at regional level.

- To ensure the participation of regional leadership team in various initiatives like GROW, STEP and keep a track of the developmental initiatives.

Developmental:

- To attend seminars, conferences, various local HR forums and training programs to continuously update knowledge and skill.

- Interact with the HR fraternity of the regional on best practices, people trends and IR incidents

- To share best practices with the operation leadership team of the region

Key Skills / Experience Required:

- MBA HR (Preferred) with proven track record of 8-10 years

- Strong HR Concepts & process orientation

- Leadership Skills

- Strategic and Operational Orientation

- Effective Skills for internal and external communication

- Analytical Skills

- Negotiation Skills
