Snow Leopard - Financial Analyst - CA/ICWA/IIM/ISB/MDI/FMS

Position Overview :

We are looking to hire an individual for the role of, Financial Analyst, to help manage current companies in the portfolio, for general analytical work both from a portfolio company and market research perspective and analysis of potential new private company investments.

Duties & Responsibilities :

Portfolio Companies :

- Help to manage a portfolio of businesses and implement a set of highly scalable processes for monitoring

- Assist with monitoring of portfolio companies

- Analyze monthly portfolio company financial statements and prepare relevant graphs for drawing inferences

- Highlight key findings, lagging areas and provide feedback on areas where firm can add value

- Prepare power point presentation on portfolio companies performance for board of directors and Partners

- Meet with portfolio companies on a consistent basis to ensure progress

- Ensure compliance and governance followed at companies

- Work extensively on excel, word, and power point presentations

New Investments -

- In next few years, when the company scout for new investments, help to identify new candidates for investment and manage flow of inbound investment candidates

- Help execute due diligence process for both the company and the industry

- Create analytical models, capitalization table analyses, as part of the investment approval process

General :

Perform financial analyses which may include the following with a high degree of speed and precision

- Discounted cash flow

- Public comparables

- Acquisition comparables

- Pro forma combination analyses

- Cap table analytics

- Portfolio analytics

- Build three-statement full-blown financial models for portfolio company analytics including income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement

Education and Experience Requirements -

CA/ICWA and/or MBA from top tier school in India

- Top 10% ranking throughout academic career at top-tier schools in India or abroad with transcript records available

- At least 2-3 years of work experience in similar role

- A strong understanding of the Indian ecosystem

Knowledge and Skills Requirements -

- Excellent Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point skills

- Strong analytical skills, interpersonal people skills, financial modeling skills

- Strong research capabilities

- Strong ability to format and model in excel with extremely fast grasp of shortcut key combinations

- Extremely strong grasp of written and spoken English, both grammatically and colloquially

- High degree of intellectual curiosity

- Team player with ability to work in small groups

- Understanding of how to speak on the phone, write an email, go to dinner, have a conversation, from a global perspective

- Understanding of confidentiality and its implications

- Live in Pune or willing to relocate to Pune
