Job Role:

- Requires a background and experience who has significantly interacted with small retailers in India in the past.

- Ideal candidate will be one who can really empathize with a small retail owner and one who is technologically savvy, with sharp business acumen and quick decision-making skills.

- Will drive the product management and work closely with retailers in the market to first gather and understand market needs, then convert the needs to design fundamentals and prioritize the feature/product roadmap, working closely with development teams to implement the features, conduct mini trials to improve the product, and play a significant role in launching new product features and improve feature set of existing products in the market.

- Requires working closely with the others in the Scrum process, including engineering, sales, marketing, and support to ensure business and customer satisfaction goals are met. There is a need to understand the organizations objectives and strategic insights to contribute to medium-term/long-term product roadmap.

- Will report directly to the COO of the company and closely work with exec team, be as an individual contributor initially and lead the product management efforts. Team player attitude is very important.

Required Qualifications:

- ~3-5 years of total experience with a business degree from top tier management school or prior roles as management consultant or business analyst in SMB retail vertical in India

- Preferably with an Engineering degree or background in related field

- Experience with FMCG space and with retailers in India is a must

- Must have at least 3 years of prior experience as a technical product manager in enterprise software / ERP / POS / SAAS or web-based products and or other Retail technology solutions

- Thorough understanding of solution development lifecycle, process, software development, and tech project management and tools

- Be a product leader, a good listener, crisp communicator, quick learner, creative thinker, kick-starter and passionately drive cross functional teams to yield quantitative results

Job may require frequent travel.
