About the role:

We are looking to hire someone in a pivotal role to own financial reporting and work on various initiatives/projects to make the finance function future-ready. This will be an Individual Contributor role to start with and can evolve based on how the individual and role mature.

Key Responsibilities:

- Primarily responsible for ensuring accuracy, completeness and timeliness in periodic financial & MIS reporting (for internal as well as external reporting)

- Act as a subject matter expert for matters of accounting & financial reporting in the organization

- Undertake projects to make the finance function process-driven and scalable - this will include implementing process improvements, implementing frameworks, and/or technology solutions across different finance processes

- Assess the risk & control environment across processes and implement necessary controls as may be needed to ensure the presence of a robust risk & control posture in the organization

- Assist in audits, due diligence and any other ad-hoc finance project that is time-sensitive and critical to the organization

Requirements:

- Qualified Chartered Accountant with 3-5 years of post-qualification experience

- In-depth knowledge of Ind AS, accounting principles and financial reporting guidelines

- Proven work experience in financial controllership, including financial reporting and risks & controls management

- Experience in process improvements and automation is desirable

- Experience having worked in growth-stage startups and the financial services sector is a big plus

- Ability to work independently with limited supervision, a strong sense of ownership and a problem-solving mindset

- Capability in interfacing with product, business and analytics teams within the organization

- Effective written and verbal communication skills

- Proficient in MS Excel/Google Sheets. Knowledge of Zoho ERP is a plus
