Education : An MBA / Degree in Sales and Marketing from areputable institution

Participation in Sales strategy and negotiation courses

Experience : 9+Years

Critical internal relationships : Operations,Finance, Transitions, IT

Critical external relationships : Corporates,Consulting Firms, Opinion Shaping Bodies

Experience

- Past experience of at least 5 years in Business Development within the outsourced / integrated services industry or in Corporate Business Development roles

- The ability to understand and pursue large complex outsourcing / integrated services deals

- A successful track record of new business accomplishments

- A background in strategic consulting as well as exposure to corporate clientele would be an advantage working with our nearest competitor – Aegis, FSL, Mphasis, alikes.

Dimensions of role :

- Responsible for achieving assigned new business targets in accordance with defined gross margins / profitability Targets to be in line with strategic business plan around verticals and growth

- The Sr. Mgr/AGM – Business Development is a Bangalore/Mumbai based role responsible for increasing the client's market presence in India by pursuing and converting new business opportunities. This position will have assigned financial targets through conversion of new business / contracts.

The primaryresponsibilities of this role will include (but not be limited to):

- Creating a prospective targets pipeline based on market research and personal networking
Generating new leads that can be pursued on an ongoing basis

- Active contribution to Strategy development

- Meeting with business prospects; making industry / vertical specific presentations to prospective clients

- Developing vertical specific strategies for market penetration

- Creating plans for acquiring new business / clients; and ‘pursuing’ with these accounts on an ongoing basis

- Increasing revenues of the division by expanding the client base on an ongoing basis; and by creating, nurturing and securing new business opportunities

- Creating proposals and / or responses to RFP / RFI / RFT requests through formulation of best-suited operating models

- Working closely with onshore & offshore teams (operations, finance, technology, transitions) for creating viable solutions

- Identifying target client needs and / or unique business requirements, and creating customized solutions / proposals to address requirements

- Managing front-end (Sales) relationships with new accounts transitioned

- To be well acquainted with processes, operations, go-to-market strategy & financials of the client

- Monitoring market and competitor activities and providing relevant reports and information to executive management

Accountability

- Create and manage sales pipeline in accordance with Sales plan of the division

- Prepare budget forecast for the Sales portfolio (revenue and expense)

- Achieve or exceed new business revenue targets without compromising gross margin / profitability for the designated portfolio(s)

- Identify optimum business development strategies and manage the ‘pursuit’ of targets

- Manage an effective handover of converted business opportunity to Transition team and through to Operations team

- Complete ownershipthroughout RFP / RFI / RFT response processes

- Client relationship management of converted /pipeline opportunities

- Should be flexible to travel within the Bangalore/Mumbai region as well as interstate in pursuit of opportunities

Personal Attributes and Skills

- Demonstrative knowledge of the outsourcing & integrated services industry

- Adept at communicating across multiple levels of business

- Knowledge of bid management, RFP responses & documentation

- Excellent presentation skills; and an aptitude for negotiating best outcomes

- Capability to network, develop and maintain strong relationships

- Target oriented withthe potential to handle multiple priorities simultaneously and to drive results

- Ability to thrive ina team-oriented & deadline driven environmentwith strong planning and organizational skills

- Confident andeloquent in written and oral communication
