The Head of Indian Technology Hub is a pivotal leadership role responsible for steering and overseeing the build and scaling up of companies strategic investment in India. This executive will ensure that the new technology hub align with the organization's strategic vision and are tracked effectively to achieve desired outcomes. They will have strong strategic planning skills, excellent leadership skills, prior experience in running offshore support centers and strong ability to influence all levels of the organization and a proven track record in managing complex change programs.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and implement the overall strategy for the technology hub, aligning with the company's vision and goals. Set long-term objectives and short-term milestones to drive innovation and growth within the hub.
- Leadership and Management: Provide strong leadership to the technology team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence. Oversee the hiring, training, and development of engineering talent to build a high-performing team.
- Operational Oversight: Ensure efficient day-to-day operations, including resource allocation, project management, and process optimization. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the hub's performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Budgeting and Financial Management: Manage the hub's budget, ensuring financial resources are used effectively and projects are delivered within budget constraints. Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality or productivity.
- Stakeholder Communication and Collaboration: Act as the primary point of contact between the hub and other departments, senior management, and external stakeholders. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across teams to ensure alignment and address any issues promptly.
- Risk Management and Compliance: Identify potential risks to the hub's operations and implement strategies to mitigate them. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Customer and Client Relations: Maintain strong relationships with key clients and customers, understanding their needs and ensuring the hub delivers solutions that meet or exceed expectations. Address client feedback and resolve any issues promptly to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
Performance Evaluation and Reporting:
- Regularly evaluate the performance of the engineering team and individual contributors, providing feedback and development opportunities.
- Prepare and present reports on the hub's performance, achievements, and challenges to senior management and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, Technology Management or related field, with 10+ years in strategic leadership.
- Proven track record of successfully led large outsourcing hubs or offshore support center, ideally in a technology-focused environment.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, project management and stakeholder management skills.
