Requirements:

- Minimum age requirement: 40s, below 50.

- Proven track record in senior SCM and Operations roles within large multinational corporations.

- Extensive experience in stakeholder management, navigating complex organizational structures and priorities.

- Strong background in procurement strategies and PLM implementations.

- Demonstrated success in managing entire SCM functions, optimizing supply chains, and driving operational improvements.

- Excellent communication and leadership skills to foster collaboration and drive change effectively across global teams.

About the role:

Our client is seeking an exceptional Supply Chain & Operations leader to build and manage our Global Operations team in Bengaluru, India. The Associate Director, Supply Chain & Global Operations Functional Lead will be a critical member of the Global Operations Shared Services Team and of the Global Supply Chain leadership team and will be responsible for hiring, mentoring, and managing a team of professionals in several areas of Supply Chain and Operations, as well as working collaboratively with cross-functional teams globally to deliver high-quality products, solutions, continuous improvements, and drive employee engagement. This role will report to the Vice President of Shared Services and will have a dotted line to the Vice President of Global Supply Chain.

Responsibilities:

- Leadership: Build and manage high-performing Supply Chain and Global Operations teams and individual contributors in Bengaluru, India. Direct activities and coach multiple levels of people managers and individual contributors while managing multiple business functions. Coaching and mentoring teams to ensure performance objectives are met, building positive employee relations, and building leadership bench strength.

- Operations Excellence: Partner and collaborate with site and functional senior leadership to achieve strategic goals and metrics. Collaborate with and influence teams in various functions within and outside global supply chain and global operations. Drive creation of staffing plans, schedules, quality initiatives, process change initiatives, and continuous improvement initiatives among others to meet and exceed our business plan. Lead the seamless transfer of sustaining activities to the appropriate site planning and procurement teams.

- Supply Chain Excellence: Provide Supply Chain expertise, oversight, and guidance to new product development teams. Ability to develop Supply Chain strategies to ensure new product development teams design for logistics, sourcing, service, and manufacturing best practices such that they understand and meet the needs of Global Operations, as well as our customers. Driving supply for internal and commercial requirements through proper loading of forecasts, bills of materials, part setup, development and execution of the build and distribution plans.

- PLM and Analytics: Provide oversight for shared service functions related to Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Data and Analytics (D&A), including employee engagement, mentorship, and training. Ability to work with stakeholders and partners on broader strategies around Data, AI, Master Data Management, Enterprise Change Management, Enterprise Document control, or Quality Inspection functions. Develop and maintain service level KPIs for PLM and D&A local organizations.

- Site Management: Work closely with Illumina Manyata Site Lead and other functions to cascade communication, foster a collaborative and safe environment, and inspire and engage employees. Educate and inform Global Operations executives when programs appear to be off track or struggling to achieve program goals. Must be comfortable flagging and escalating risks that may delay our ability to deliver quality products on time to our customers. Coordinate all regional and site activities and support all other Global Operations functions for the site.

What they are Looking For:

- Requires Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent. An advanced degree is preferred with a minimum of 15 years.

- 7+ years of experience in directly managing and supervising various levels of people leaders and individual contributors.

- 7+ years of knowledge and experience within all areas of Supply Chain and Operations.

- Proven experience and leadership in site management.

- Expertise in purchasing and planning, oversight, and guidance to areas of product development, manufacturing operations, supply chain, and/or field/product quality.

- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders, including peer business leaders, employees, customers and external business representatives and government officials.

- Ability to effectively drive collaboration across business leaders, providing a broad scope of perspective that extends beyond their individual primary area of responsibility.

- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, making effective decisions even when under pressure.

- Extremely strong communication, interpersonal, teamwork, planning, and organizational skills.

Nice To Have:

- Lean/Six Sigma certification and hands-on experience

- Proficient in the use of SAP and analytics tools desirable

- Experience in project management

- APICS Certification preferred
