Role : GBS Site Director, Bangalore
- The GBS site Lead in Bangalore will manage a group of 80+ employees and report to the Global GBS Director.
- The scope of responsibility will cover F&A processes such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Cash and Bank and Master Data, worldwide for the Group.
- This role has strong interaction with different businesses and multiple countries within a transformation context including mergers and acquisitions.
- The Bangalore operation was established in 2021 to support our new target operating model and collaborates closely with GBS Warsaw which gained maturity and industry best practices over the last 15 years.
- The GBS Bangalore team has made progress stabilising processes over the last two years and has a continuous improvement objective with focus on quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage GBS day-to-day F&A operation and ensure high level service delivery for all activities and entities in scope of GBS worldwide
- Build and develop a high performing GBS organization and create process-driven culture focused on customer satisfaction and commitment, quality, efficiency and operational excellence
- Develop and implement processes, programs and tools to drive quality assurance and quality improvement, end to end process efficiency and continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with Group procedures and policies, accounting principles, internal control and any other applicable legal regulations
- Build highly engaged and motivated GBS team delivering outstanding performance
- Implement strong governance model with the key stakeholders
- Drive end-to-end process quality and efficiency
- Support transition of processes and transfer of new missions into GBS Organization
- Support transformation initiatives with objective to improve efficiency through process standardization, process changes and automation (RPA)
- Take ownership and accountability for delivery of annual budget and productivity targets
- Ensure service security and continuity of finance operation by keeping proper process documentation up to date and creating efficient back up structure
Key competencies :
- Accounting/Finance Master's degree, postgraduate professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIA or MBA would be an advantage
- Relevant experience in managing 100+ teams in a Financial Shared Service Center environment as SSC / GBS Director
- Excellent leadership and people management skills with demonstrated ability to develop highly engaged and performing teams
- Experience on being a change agent within the Shared Services area, track record of successfully managed & completed organizational transformation projects
- Profound skillset around leadership, communication, multifunctional collaboration and stakeholder management, effective conflict management
- High level of learning, able to adapt in a fast and dynamic environment, able to manage complexity and finding solutions
- Result-orientated with a sense of responsibility and commitment to deliver high quality work
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities and re-prioritize as necessary to align with current business needs
- Very good communication and interpersonal skills
