Responsibilities

- The Senior Financial Analyst will be critical member of the finance team of Simpa Energy India Pvt Ltd (a wholly owned subsidiary of Simpa Networks, US). The position will report to the VP, Finance and will be responsible for a range of analytical functions in the Finance function. Some important duties that will be assigned to the person will include, but are not limited to the following:

Capital raising and investor reporting:

1. Create excel models and provide the necessary diligence materials to debt and equity investors to raise capital for the company.

2. Create the necessary analytical models/tools to manage the cash-flows of off-balance sheet fund structures.

3. Create quarterly or half-yearly reports for investors

Corporate finance & budgeting:

1. Perform analysis in excel on pricing of Simpa products and services for solar home systems, and provide recommendations on prices.

2. Creating and managing the tools to track Simpa's budgets and creating budget v/s actual reports.

3. Providing reports on Simpa's Key Performance Indicators to the executive team.

4. Conducting ad-hoc, advanced analytics on various data sets to support other functions of the company.

Risk management:

1. Develop tools in Microsoft excel to monitor customer payment performance. Translate these excel tools into software requirements for our proprietary Revenue Management Software as the tools mature.

2. Develop Client risk assessment tools using statistical models.

3. Develop tools to measure portfolio risk and make recommendations on how to reduce portfolio risk.

Qualifications:

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance from a top-tier, world-class institution.

- At least 2+ years’ experience in the finance function of a financial services firm (preferably), manufacturing or services firms. Experience in investment banking, management consulting or asset management companies will also be highly valued.

- Experience with statistics and statistical tools applied to risk management will be highly valued.

- Highly proficient with advanced functions of Excel

- Possess a highly analytical mind-set and be able to balance multiple analytical projects.

- Demonstrated excellence in working cross functionally and delivering recommendations to senior management.

- High levels of integrity.

- Experience in fast moving entrepreneurial organizations will be highly valued.
