Position Overview:

- Simpa Energy is looking for a dynamic and motivated Senior-HR Manager to manage its HR function in our expansion in the southwestern UP region. Simpa Energy is a fast-paced, mission-driven company based in Bangalore building a world-class team committed to serving our rural and urban customers with affordable access to clean energy.

- The Senior- HR Manager will be member of Simpa’s HR function, managing the recruitment and training of a first-class team of salespeople and solar technicians with a passion for rural operations.

Simpa is selling solar energy systems on a pay-as-you-go basis to underserved consumers in emerging markets. Customers make a small initial payment for a high-quality solar PV system and then pay for the energy service, topping up their systems in small user-defined increments (EasyRecharge) using a mobile phone. Each payment for energy also adds towards the final purchase price. Once fully paid, the system unlocks permanently and delivers free solar energy. The innovative pricing model is called Progressive Purchase. Simpa helps its customers transform a daily expenditure for energy into ownership of a valuable asset. The business model is disruptive and highly scalable, re-imagining the value chain for delivering energy access to the mass market.

Responsibilities in Context:

- Responsibility for overall rural recruitment activity and campaigns in North India.

- Plans and conducts new employee orientation programs to foster positive attitude toward company goals.

- Responds to inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs.

- Ensure all company policies and procedures are up to date in line with current employment law. Ensure line managers are up to date with changes to any policies.

- Maintaining employee’s personnel files and making sure that all employee records are accurate and well maintained.

- Preparing & sending the manpower MIS including Recruitments / Resignations on a regular basis

- Responsible for organizing regular staff welfare activities

- Plan and co-ordinate with the external / internal trainers & consultants to ensure training programs are run smoothly.

- Designing & Updating the training manuals / individual training records of employees, assisting the organization to achieve their set targets within the stipulated time limit.

- Administer and ensure timely completion the Performance Appraisal Assessment for employees on a yearly basis.

- Responsible for Statutory compliances and accounting of PF, ESI, Insurance policies, Gratuity, Medical cover for the employees, etc

Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree (mandatory), MSW, BMS, or MBA nice to have.

- Experience in benefits administration (managing enrollment, claims management, etc).

- Strong Knowledge about UP Employment Laws and Regulations.

General Skills:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Hindi and English.

- High degree of integrity

- Highly motivated and proactive, always looking for better ways to get the job done

- Good interpersonal skills

- Good organization and leadership skills

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google applications, excel and power-point.

- Exceptional organizational and administrative skills

- Confident personality, Enthusiastic, proactive, flexible and constructive approach

- Able to exercise discretion, high levels of initiative and independent decision

- Ability to prioritize own work load and work to tight time scales & deadlines

- Ability to deal with a wide range of public and private qualities/attributes

- Ability to work with and engage staff at all levels within the organization

- Able to remain positive and constructive under pressure

- Ability to use own initiative and make decisions within sphere of work and knowledge

- Flexible to travel around to different locations in North India.

- Flexible approach to working hours and practices
