Simpa Energy India Pvt Ltd ( a wholly subsidiary of Simpa Networks, Inc) seeks an Accounting Manager to handle the day-to-day accounting, compliance and reporting functions for Simpa’s northern operations.

Responsibilities :

- The Accounting Manager will be responsible for the accounting, reporting and tax functions of Simpa Energy India Pvt Ltd’s Northern Operations.

- The position will report to the VP, Finance and will be responsible for ensuring robust accounting controls, accounting quality and tax compliance.

Some important duties that will be assigned to the person will include, but are not limited to the following:

- Accounting field related day-to-day sales transactions in Tally, cash management/reconciliation and tax compliance.

- Visit Simpa’s various branch offices to conduct cash reconciliation and assist with expense reimbursement processing.

- Primary responsibility for safe keeping of Channel Partner Agreements and handling all cash receipts and payments to Simpa’s sales agents and channel partners.

- Visit Simpa’s various stock points and carry out reconciliation of physical inventory with accounting systems.

- Ensure Fixed Assets are being issued and maintained as per Simpa’s policies.

- Conduct reconciliations of payments to Simpa’s agents and other channel partners.

- Conduct bank account reconciliation for Simpa’s various branch level bank accounts.

- Support the sales and operations teams from an accounting standpoint to achieve their business objectives.

- Carry out statutory formalities related to VAT, PF, ESI and S&E Departments as instructed by Head Office.

- Manage a team of accountants and work cross-functionally to ensure accounting is providing the needed support to the overall business.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Commerce is required.

- At least 6+ years’ experience in the accounting function and atleast 2+ years of experience in managing a team of accountants.

- Highly proficient with Excel and Tally ERP. Knowledge of other ERP software is desirable but not required.

- Experience in working in the accounting function of micro-finance, FMCG companies or other industries which have geographically distributed operations in non-metro settings is required.

- High levels of integrity and willingness to work collaboratively.

- Experience in fast moving entrepreneurial organizations is preferable.

- Demonstrated fluency in Hindi and English.

Compensation : A combination of cash and stock options, leading to a market competitive package.
