Category Head - Shaya
You will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to enhance our product assortment, optimise merchandising efforts, and maximising business performance. The ideal candidate will have a keen understanding of consumer preferences, market trends, and competitive landscape to drive innovation and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Category Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive category strategy aligned with business objectives, market trends, and consumer insights.
- Assortment Planning: Lead the development of seasonal product assortments, including product selection, pricing strategy, and inventory management, to meet sales targets and margin goals.
- Vendor Management: Identify and cultivate relationships with vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers to ensure the highest quality products and favourable terms.
- Merchandising: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, marketing, and e-commerce, to create compelling merchandising strategies that drive traffic, engagement, and conversion.
- Market Analysis: Conduct ongoing market analysis, competitive research, and trend forecasting to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation within the jewellery category.
- Performance Optimization: Analyze category performance metrics, including sales, margins, inventory turnover, and customer feedback, to identify areas for improvement and implement data-driven solutions.
- Financial Management: Work closely with the CEO in managing the Company P&L, monitoring category profitability, and identifying opportunities to improve financial performance.
- Annual Operating Plan: Play a critical role in developing the Annual Operating Plan, providing insights and recommendations to drive revenue growth and operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate:
- 10+ years of experience in category management, merchandising, or product development within the retail or e-commerce industry, with a focus on fashion/jewellery preferred. Sales / Performance Marketing stint would be an added advantage.
- Track record of success in developing and executing category strategies that drive revenue growth and market share expansion.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make strategic recommendations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Passion for jewellery, fashion, and design with a keen eye for aesthetics and quality craftsmanship.
