Technical Skills:

- Experience with designing custom solutions using SharePoint Object Model, SharePoint Client Object Model, PowerShell, C# and ASP.NET

- Experience with Design, develop, and document OOB SharePoint solutions using one or more of the following tools: SharePoint Designer, Visual Studio, out-of-the-box SharePoint features, and third-party workflow Web parts or tools (e.g. Nintex Workflow).

- Strong Experience in SharePoint Migration from old SharePoint editions & other content management tools to 2010.

- Strong Knowledge and hands on Experience on Design Patterns.

- Experience with Microsoft Office InfoPath Forms Services, XSLT is highly preferred, as is experience with SharePoint Templates (Application Templates, Master Pages, Role-Based).

- Experience in designing and building SharePoint farms in a multi-server environment is required.

- SharePoint knowledge should include architectural design, Web Parts development, event receivers, Timer jobs, Site Templates, Site Definitions, Sandbox Solutions, Power Shell, Server installation, management and troubleshooting with a focus on planning, deploying and supporting enterprise SharePoint implementations.

- Development experience with Microsoft.NET technologies is also expected (e.g. ASP.NET 2.0/3.0/4.0, C#, XML, CSS, IIS, SQL Server, etc.).

- Development experience with scripting languages is also expected (e.g. HTML, XSL, JavaScript, JQuery, Ajax).

- Understanding of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) Strategies

- Understanding SharePoint Governance Strategies

- Experience with VMware and/or Hyper-V virtualization technologies

- Performance tuning

Job description:

- Role purpose is to provide overall SharePoint Technical expertise in Development & Application Support area.

- The SharePoint Technical Architect will play a central role in the SharePoint Delivery Centre / CoE in TSSC.

- The candidate will design SharePoint projects with focus on automation, performance and targeting new or significant modifications of existing business processes.

- Candidate will provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing effective procedures and SharePoint solutions that meet business requirements and deliver the projects. Teaming with "best in class" talent, candidate will assume the ownership of overall solution architectures delivered by SharePoint development team(s) in TSSC.

- The SharePoint Technical Architect will help shape the strategy, architecture, methodology and standards for delivering SharePoint solution adhere to project timelines and technical deliverables within different client environments; analyse and provide quality technical solutions that exceed client expectations. Person needs to be hands-on with coding ( sharepoint, c# & .NET ) as and when require and to demonstrate the POC to stakeholders.

- The ideal candidate will have a passion for Microsoft technology and exceeding client expectations. Using advanced presentation skills, the SharePoint Architect will be able to gain consensus, build confidence and translate complex technical topics to audiences with a range of technical sophistication. This role requires a proven technical skill set that has been demonstrated in the development of enterprise Line of Business applications and their integration into heterogeneous enterprise systems.
