Shalina Group - Head - Procurement

- Procurement of Raw materials API– local & imports.

- Negotiations with approved suppliers for A, B class and critical C items at the most competitive price, availability & quality.

- Manage material flow to ensure inventory is maintained at the optimum level to support on time deliveries while keeping inventory holdings at appropriate levels.

- Prioritize and manage all procurement activities using a range of contracts and contract management techniques and provide management information as appropriate.

- Liaison with key vendors to keep abreast of current market trends for effective decision making.

- Review the approved supplier list, develop new vendors, and introduce vendor assessment techniques to measure performance and quality of supply.

- To locate and study new potential alternate supplier for existing products to get better competitive price, quality & service etc.

- Investigate, and re-engineer where appropriate, all processes and systems within procurement and logistics to deliver as per the procurement strategy and action plan.

- Be responsible for, and manage effectively, capital and revenue expenditure within the budgets set in order to deliver both cashable and non-cashable savings against agreed targets.

- Develop and implement cost efficient policies and procedures to cover all procurement and logistics activities and review cost at regular intervals.

- To manage procurement staff, internal customers and suppliers in a coherent and effective manner.

- Establish and maintain measurable performance metrics of procurement team.
