About this role: - The Usability (erstwhile Web/App developer) Lead would be a part of the Core Team (Core Project Team would comprise of Analytics Lead, Data Architect, NLP Lead, Technology /Usability lead and would be led by a Project Director) - All the core team members would be experts with 10+ years of experience in their respective domains. The core team would play a pivotal role in effective execution of the project as well as presentation of the delivery plan to the clients senior management committee - The Usability Lead would be responsible for the design, build, operationalization and governance of robust and system-tested Web-portal that hosts and displays user-search based intuitive and easy to comprehend data visualizations - This includes large scale projects (USD 500K and above) and type of clients (industry leaders across domains, including Government and public sector RFP based initiatives) that SGA works with. - The Usability Lead would be responsible for building and deploying a highly user-friendly and user-interactive visualization (web portal) platform including an intuitive and recommended search functionality for the web/app based platform - The Usability Lead would also need to be the expert at understanding the business application of the various sets of large database (at least 5 TB+) across formats (structured, semi-structured, structured) hosted at multiple cloud platforms of the client, by working closely with the relevant stakeholders at the clients site. - This role would require deep hands-on expertise in previous similar projects of at least INR 3-5 Crores revenue size, with case examples and strong client references. Required Work Experience: - 7+ years of relevant experience in Web portal or mobile app development and successful deployment - Experience in large scale projects undertaken, especially involving BI report building and data analytics representation of huge public sector database/articles/publications/ reports would be highly relevant - Experience in building smart and user-intuitive Search functionality or similar functionality build as an integral component of the web or app portals, basis unstructured textual or images data (5TB +), which keeps getting updated dynamically and is spread across varied data sources, URLs, database architectures Project Characteristics: - The applicant must be able to demonstrate expertise and experience on a minimum of at least 2-3 previously successful client assignments (each worth a minimum commercial scale of INR 2 Crore) that have involved building a successful and currently active web-portal or mobile application (with at least 500 active users). It would be ideal if these web/app platforms also involve - - NLP(natural language processing) based search on 1TB+ high data with interactive visualization - Extraction of large amounts of semi-structured data and its processing into machine readable formats with semantic classification of data points into a common schema Domain: IT/ Technology / BFSI/ Telecom/CPG-Retail/ E-commerce/Entertainment/ Consultancy &amp; Service Providers, Start-ups in Analytics and Ai solutions, etc. Job Responsibilities: - Design wireframes, build prototypes, lead usability tests, productionize and launch the web-site portal/mobile app to ensure - - Reliable 24/7 hosting with automated website backup - Cross-browser compatibility. - Search Engine Optimization - Responsive web design across web interfaces, mobiles, and tablets (e.g. disabled images, various resolutions/font sizes). - Fast-loading pages (Meet necessary Usability standards Viz page load time involving less than 10 indicators should be less than 3 seconds for bandwidth of 512 kbps, for instance). - Should be compliant with web-site interoperability and other government guidelines, as well as meet the pre-production audit protocols - Build a world-class Search functionality that a) allows users to search content across a variety of criteria (sector, indicator, location) from search bar, through map-based search, and from data catalogue. (b) Provides context and/or query-based suggested/related/recommended links and understanding of synonyms - Be the Web Developer cum SEO lead, and present a concrete solutions architecture plan on web-site design, website architecture, Visualization Views, Navigation options, search functionality optimization (backed up by visible case studies) and implementation process-map, to prospective clients- especially for large scale RFP projects - Build and lead a team of Ui developers, Ux designers, UAT/ QA testers, back-end dev ops resources, content managers and content writers - Contracting with relevant vendors (resource outsourcing, technology product licensing) to recruite/deploy Ui developers, Ux graphic designers, web-site traffic analysts &amp; technicians, QA/UAT analysts,SEO expert, etc. as per the budgets and technical requirements of the project - Be entirely responsible for driving all SLAs related to user Web-site/app functionality user acceptance testing, functionality testing, prototype building, Ui script freeze and deployment on production. - Work closely with the NLP Lead inorder to finalize on a data warehouse architecture that is amenable and scalable to NLP-driven search functionalities /text mining ( as well as other machine learning solutions) - Work closely with the Sytems Architect so as to design optimal workflows as well as visualization Ui front-end tools (including a tie-up with possible vendors) that can ensure industry standards on web-site data streaming time and data accuracy levels - Build Site Traffic management application &amp; interface for clients stakeholders to track and monitor user views, clickstream data,etc. Specific Skills / Expertise: - Tools/ Scripting Languages: - HTML, CSS and comparable languages like JavaScript - JS libraries (such as jQuery, React.js, and Zepto.js) and frameworks (such as Angular, Vue, Backbone, and Ember) - Adobe Photoshop - Server side programming / Web-frameworks like Django, Flask, Ruby or Java spring, PHP, .NET, Scala, etc. - Exposure to NLP languages (python) and REST APIs integration methods - Google Analytics / Site management tools Databases: MySQL, RedShift, MariaDB, BigQuery, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB Cloud Platforms: AWS, MS Azure, GCP, Oracle cloud, etc. Certification in Web-site design is mandatory Certification in SEO is highly desirable
