Role: Senior Analyst Experience : 3.5 - 6 years Location : Pune Job Profile: Proficient in the following: Sector Coverage: Build deep expertise and insight on a specific sector that can be leveraged by bankers for maintaining and initiating new client relationships and generate high quality reports that highlight emerging trends and suggest possible courses of action. Cover sector(s) and track developments regularly Research: Process research requests effectively and efficiently, selecting and utilizing the most relevant internal and external information sources including company reports, internet, online databases, etc. Source and interpret company & industry information with an aim to form views on the industry, key trends and individual companies. Summarize and synthesize news updates/research reports on priority clients, weekly industry reports, for internal and external use Identify Opportunities/Prospects: Track a list of potential buyers / targets and shortlist the relevant ones based on business model, financials, etc. Pitch/Presentation: Prepare marketing materials for clients including components like market and industry landscapes, financial analysis & valuations, target companies profiles & benchmarking etc. Produce client-ready output which is crisp and relevant and is accompanied with well-structured presentations. Project management: Comprehend projects with a high level of accuracy & displays a strong understanding of the deliverables. Engage proactively with client executives to understand client perspective and makes new suggestions regarding analysis, slides or provides a new perspective Financial Modeling: Manage detailed models and be comfortable with valuation techniques. Work on extensive valuations without any guidance. Understand transaction structures and be able to determine applicability to his clients. Calculate and draw insights from a set of financial measures/ models Communication: Maintain regular value-added contact with client bankers and staffers in the appropriate geography both proactively and in response to specific requests with a clear distinction between fact, informed opinion and uninformed opinion. Team management : Reviews priorities & manages team expectations proactively; become a mentor for the juniors in the team and help them develop the right skill sets by reviewing their work; provide clear guidance to the team to maximize efficiency Compliance: Ensure the highest international ethical standards and regulatory compliance within the team. Work with senior management on various challenging ad hoc projects and company wide initiatives like hiring, training, knowledge development, etc. Requirements: - At least 4-5 year of experience in investment banking - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English - Proficient at handling a team of 2-3 analysts while assisting higher management in critical ad hoc projects - Excellent skills while working on research for targets/buyers, sector reports, trading and transaction comps, pitch books as well as investment memorandums - Proficiency in financial modeling, including detailed 3 statement forecasting, multiple scenario analysis, discounted cash flow valuation, LBO and merger modeling - Knowledge of databases such as Refinitiv, Bloomberg, CapIQ, Factset, and Mergermarket Education Qualifications: MBA/CFA
