Job Details:

This role is accountable and responsible for overall delivery across all regions ensuring seamless service delivery, maximum stakeholder satisfaction and effective people management. It involves owning of end-to-end R2R processes in Shared Service centre driving process standardisation.

Education:

Masters in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent degree

Professional certification such as Chartered Accountant is a MUST

Relevant Experience:

- 18+ years of relevant experience working with captive centres in R2R leadership role

- Good working experience for US GAAP and relevant financial accounting regulations

- Preferably someone with a previous experience of managing work-process transition in multiple regions (such as EMEA, APAC and Americas)

- Breadth of knowledge of leading end to end R2R operations, practices, and processes

- Have experience in General ledger Accounting, Reconciliations, Consolidation, P&L and B/s review, Treasury, Tax Operations and Audit and Compliance

- In-depth understanding of systems used within the R2R processes such as Blackline etc.

- Ability to manage the complexities of a global R2R function and lead by influence with finance, shared services, and non-finance stakeholders

Roles & Responsibilities

Service Delivery and Process Leadership

1. Independent Service Delivery Leader of R2R COE across all regions in Finance GBS

1. Independent Service Delivery Leader of R2R COE across all regions in Finance GBS

2. Own and Ensure accuracy, Completeness and controls of financial statements prepared by GBS for HoF final sign off

3. Accountable and responsible for Service Quality and Customer Centricity Assurance

4. Business Partnership with the commercial teams whenever required

5. Exert and Drive significant influence on upstream and downstream process Integration to drive end to end process Efficiency, Effectiveness and Standardization

6. Create R2R process community made up of regional SMEs to ensure alignment across regions and share common issues and best practice.

7. Internal and External Audit & Compliance Management (including SOX)

8. Provide leadership and technical direction for the Finance staff of the region and develops a vision and strategy for operational excellence

9. Own and maintain Country /regional level transactional Issue / Action Tracker for R2R and Govern closure of open items

10. Manage operating manpower requirements based on Annual operating plan (AoP) for the process tower; achieve constant efficiency in the GBSs operational capacity

11. Provide relevant inputs to the GBS Head during the budgeting exercise for R2R resources; monitor financial performance versus the budget so that areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified & rectified

12. Keep abreast with the regulatory framework and guidelines; guide the team on the same to ensure that operational procedures are in alignment with such guidelines

Operational Excellence

1. Define the objectives; Cascade and co-own actions, KPIs & goals to the team members

2. Act as a single point of escalation for all the operational issues pertaining to the region; effectively resolve the same by influencing requisite internal / external stakeholders

3. Review & publish requisite / ad-hoc financial MIS / reports and share it with the concerned stakeholders to aid decision making

4. Ensure all the operational areas are in alignment with procedural / legislative controls of the specified region (work in close collaboration with the process managers) & adhere to the agreed SLAs & TAT

5. Act as a change agent; Identify and deliver process excellence and continuous improvement programs with focus on all the operational activities

Location, Regional SPOC and Stakeholder Management

1. GBS Relationship Manager/SPOC during BAU and any New Transition Phase as a Secondary Responsibility

2. Accountable for resolving issues which require collaboration with multiple CoEs within GBS

3. Third level Escalation Point for Country Finance Controller / Regional CFOs/ Functional Heads for all Finance Processes

4. Participate during Regional/Country Level Monthly Process Performance Review Meetings

5. Maintain Country Level Strategic Issue / Action Tracker and ensure closure of open items

6. Coordinate Change Management for future changes in the upstream or downstream processes

7. Develop and maintain strong proactive relationships with internal stakeholder to ensure coordination & optimal performance

8. Nurture ecosystem partnerships with the stakeholders (vendors, auditors, authorities etc.) to deliver superior business operations

9. Review vendor performance and anticipate risks/escalations; Ensure capitalization of possible synergies and contingency planning as needed

Governance & Compliance


1. Drive the implementation of effective governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks across the capability centre to drive holistic performance and maintain reputation

2. Ensure pro-active input into preventative actions to address key business risks; Manage issues to mitigate impact and risk by early detection & involvement

3. Champion the embedding of a compliance culture within the respective team members

People Management

1. Act in the capacity of Role-model; uphold the highest standards of professional conduct, ethics and integrity

2. Plan and ensure optimal staffing levels for meeting operational demands

3. Build a strong leadership pipeline through hiring, internal movements, succession planning, talent reviews etc.

4. Drive a performance driven culture by timely monitoring, review and performance feedback to the team members

5. Drive capability building initiatives through identified programs in learning and development, career management, mentoring, coaching etc.

6. Ideate and deploy people initiatives across employee life cycle to drive superior employee engagement & retention of key performers
