Candidate should have 10-12 yrs of experience in business development (in-licensing and M&A, outsourcing)
Candidate should be from pharma background.
Candidate should have full time MBA from premier B School.
SUMMARY OF THE OVERALL JOB :
To be responsible for business Development including in- licensing and M&A, outsourcing for the markets. To support Sr. VP Marketing & Sales, in developing short and long term strategy for the Markets.
KEY RESULT AREAS :
- Track actual Revenue against projected from the Geographies
- On time deal closure for business alliances ( In-licensing, Hospital Channels, etc)
- Deal negotiation and management
- Work on term sheets
Liaise with bankers, lawyers, bankers, partners, potential sellers :
- Actively seek to generate leads with potential partners
- Business Alliance Management
- On time delivery for project requirements
- On time issue resolution for the partners.
KEY FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES :
MARKET INTELLIGENCE :
- To continuously study and scan the Innovators products and performance, competitors- products and profitability, disease patterns in ophthalmic and other areas, emerging patters etc to suggest addition of products in the portfolio.
- To drive team to analyse the performance of the existing products by market, therapeutic areas, market complaints, competitor's performance and brainstorm ideas to improve performance.
LICENSING :
- To evaluate products for in-licensing in various segments by studying medical trends, current product portfolio and competitors activities.
- To negotiate terms & conditions and legal contract closure for deals in the markets.
COMMERCIALIZATION & GEOGRAPHIC EXPANSION :
- To support Sr. VP - Marketing & Sales, BD in developing sort and long term strategies for these markets.
- To study the market and devise additional commercialization opportunities through various channels like additional business alliance, direct entry etc.
- To scout for partners, shortlist evaluate and conduct due diligence for partner finalization.
- To negotiate terms & conditions and legal contract closure for deals.
- To scout for partners to develop and commercialize products requiring clinical studies, litigation or filing spend, etc.
M&A
- To evaluate opportunities to acquire products and/or companies.
- To build business case for specific M&A opportunities, conduct due-diligence, negotiate terms & conditions and legal contract closure for deals.
- To support Sr. VP - Marketing & sales, BD in executing the deals.
