VP - Operations - Transportation Industry
- Our client is a market leader in Employee Transportation and office commute. It is founded by alumni of IIT, ISB and funded by Tier-I VC firms. With over 100 clients, 40% of which are fortune companies and a highly energetic, enthusiastic & creative team of 400+, our client has become a formidable force to reckon with in the employee transportation space
- In order to build, scale and run the full stack operations for pan-India/ multi-site customers, our client is currently seeking to bring in an experienced Operations leader. Based in Bangalore, this position will be a part of the executive leadership team and will report directly to the Co-founder & CTO/ COO of MoveInSync.
- This is a role for someone who has excellent people skills, business acumen and exemplary work ethics and the preferred background is leadership roles in operations with large companies in Transportation/Logistics/FMCG/Manufacturing/Armed Services industries, with an in-depth understanding of employee transportation and cab operations.
Key Accountability / Responsibilities :
- Formulate long and short term strategy and operating plans, along with MoveInSync's executive management, and set comprehensive goals for performance, growth and profitability
Manage P&L of Full Stack business :
- Service delivery with the support of ground team, centralized Billing, Routing, Customer Support, Software/Hardware Support, Vehicle/Driver Compliance, Employee Security teams
- Oversee daily operations of the company and the work of executives (IT, Marketing, Sales, Finance etc.)
- Manage the processes as per clients- requirements and ascertain timely delivery of SLAs and take corrective action for non adherence to SLAs. Support on-boarding of new clients/ new processes
- Contribute in refining processes, formulation of standard operating procedures and carrying out periodic assessment, review and propose improvements, based on data & metrics
- Develop, establish, implement and enforce supplier guidelines, obligations, and SLAs
- Risk Management and Controls through audits, compliance and other governance initiatives in conjunction with the Compliance team
- Build and execute customer engagement cadence to maximise share-of-wallet and account profitability, and ensure customer satisfaction. Oversee client reporting as well as proposals for customized business solutions
- Keep a close watch on cost of operations vs. revenue and ensure maximisation of profitability and cash flow metrics
Manage the team which delivers the following :
- Identification of Vehicle Requirement at each of the sites
- Sourcing of Vehicles with the support of Fleet Providers
- Managing the Service providers fairly so that they are satisfied to be working with MoveInSync
- Managing day-to-day employee transport operations at a functional level by accomplishing KPIs (including but not limited to OTA/OTD, Employee Feedback, Driver Feedback, etc) or any other KPIs identified by the client
- Attract talent and take vital hiring decisions, on-boarding and continuous team assessment and training/ development, and on-going employee engagement and attrition management
Candidate Qualifications/Experience :
- 15 years proven track record of external stakeholder management with a passion for ensuring a great customer experience. Comfortable working with internal stakeholders, suppliers as well as customers
- Excellent Project Management Skills
- Understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, Sales/ Marketing, Delivery, IT Systems/ Infrastructure, etc.
- Working knowledge of statutory and legal environment in order to ensure highest levels of compliance from an operations perspective
- Working knowledge of data and analysis, and performance/ operational/ commercial metrics, as well as financial/ budgeting management
- Outstanding organizational, leadership, communication and inter-personal skills. Balance of strategic and execution capabilities, and above all, must have business acumen.
- Commitment to quality, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement/ change management
- Ownership and accountability; a not-my-job attitude is an absolute no-go
