Senior Vice President - Purchase

Preferred IndustryQSR/Retail/Food vendoring companies.

Must be in leadership position in last 5 years and has good understanding of SAP.

Position Summary:

The Sr VP Purchase will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the entire supply chain process and purchasing functions within the company.

This role involves strategic planning, supplier management, logistics coordination, and cost control to ensure that our catering services run efficiently and cost-effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company objectives and enhance operational efficiency.

- Monitor market trends and adjust strategies as needed to maintain competitive advantage.

Vendor and Supplier Management:

- Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with key suppliers and vendors.

- Negotiate contracts and terms to achieve favourable conditions and cost savings.

- Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with quality and delivery standards.

Purchasing Operations:

- Develop and manage purchasing policies and procedures to streamline procurement processes.

- Manage the purchasing team, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.

Cost Management:

- Implement cost-control measures and identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality.

- Prepare and manage budgets related to purchasing functions.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor purchasing performance.

- Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management on performance metrics and improvement opportunities.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.

- MBA or advanced degree preferred.

- Proven experience (20+ years) in supply chain management and purchasing, with a strong track record in a leadership role.

- In-depth knowledge of supply chain and procurement processes, including logistics, inventory management, and supplier relations.

- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

- Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.
