SVP Finance- Financial services firm
- Develop a proficient and thriving team within finance operations. Coach, train, and develop staff ensuring accountabilities are being met to expectations.
- Maintain on-going and fluid communication with the CEO to maximize organizational fluidity, growth, accountability, and financial stability.
- Periodic revenue reporting to the CEO.
- Strategize, innovate, and create operational and financial protocols and opportunities which are in-line with the mission of the firm.
- Empower leadership team of BU Heads through open communication and information to promote their leadership and ownership of their respective teams.
Planning & Policy Development :
- Strong practice of Budgeting, Forecasting and Planning which requires Vice President Finance & Office Management' involvement with all BU heads for the development.
- Develop financial business plans and forecasts.
- Participate in corporate policy development as a member of the senior management team.
- Propose concepts to the board of directors to develop short-, medium-, and long-term financial plans and projections.
- Represent the company to financial partners, including financial institutions, investors, clients, auditors, public officials, etc.
- Remain up to date on company/statutory/internal/external/RBI and related body audit best practices as per the law for the bureau operations in India.
- Regularize and present the financial analysis and MIS to the CEO.
Finance & Accounting :
- Financial management, steering the finance and accounting functions, streamlining the related processes, forecasting, cash flow and cost optimization
- Propose appropriate internal controls and financial procedures.
- Coordinate audits and proper filing of tax returns.
- Responsible for payment process and ensure timely payments to vendor, Consultants, Contractors and equivalent entities/staff.
- Responsible for overall Billing Process and collaborate with sales professionals to maintain accounts receivable basis invoices released/remitted.
- Ensure legal and regulatory compliance regarding all finance related functions.
- Responsible for overall purchase requests process in SAP.
Administrative Operations & related infrastructure :
- Ensure effective and adequate organizational asset insurance coverage and general liability, to effectively minimalize risk to the organization.
- Create, implement, update and ensure compliance with all organizational administrative and financial policies and procedures.
- Oversee the administration of all contracts, including vendor, consultants, and infrastructure (lease, telephones etc), ensuring compliance and regular review for optimization of services and/or performance.
- Overseeing information and data security and ensuring strong adherence to the model code of conduct of the associates
- Develops and manages capital and operational budgets in support of strategic plans and goals.
- Charted Accountant / MBA or Post-Graduate in Finance (from top universities will be an added advantage)
- 15+ years of experience out of which 5 years of experience as a Head of Finance is required.
- Working knowledge of SAP (any version; R3 will be an added advantage), MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Professional experiences in fast paced, rapidly changing operations environments previous experience in a multinational Company or domain will be considered a plus.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as a strong technical and analytical aptitude are required.
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills with an ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
