Job Overview:
- The purpose of this role is to be responsible for taking on a leadership role in financial decision, and executing job responsibilities in line with the group's mission and vision
- While keenly overseeing the overall accounting process, the Sr. VP will play a key role in developing and implementing financial procedures to improve and maintain the financial health of the organization and create forecasts predicting future growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Finance & Accounts:
- Accounting and reporting: Ensure accurate and statutory accounting at unit and HO level (IFRS, P&L, balance sheet etc.). Create long term P&L forecasts for strategy creation and planning.
- Banking: Manage banking relations for short term & long term loans, at lowest cost of capital.
- Build, recommend, and implement a strong financial strategy in sync with the group strategy (including sales, operations etc.)
- Financial control: Drive effective financial control at units; set up a robust and devolved financial control mechanism at units to track and minimize costs; review budgets & financial forecasts to ensure results are in line with strategy & long term objectives.
- Cost & Management Accounting: Preparation of costing reports and financials for cost records maintenance and compliance reports.
Treasury:
- Fund management: Arrange and manage funds. This task encompasses handling cash inflows and outflows, optimizing working capital, and preserving adequate liquidity.
- Capital management: Decide upon QIP and funding (debt vs. equity) for capex expenses as well as working capital requirements in alignment with MDs once budgets are approved
Business Planning and Budgeting:
- Contribute to the organizations business planning process, monitor implementation of the business plans and adherence to budgets.
- Highlight any variances and investigate the possible causes, report business unit performance to ensure efficient use of resources, competitiveness and sustainability of the business unit.
- Drives annual budgeting process, evaluate and analyze budget proposals, present budget for Board/ Corporate approval, monitor and review performance periodically against budgets.
- Report to Board on Business Unit performance, comply with financial systems, processes, standards, statutes and regulations to record and report financial performance of Business Unit in a timely and accurate manner.
MIS and Financial Reporting:
- Implement systems and tools for regular and periodic financial reporting, share, review and report MIS periodically, highlight variances, investigate causes and recommend corrective action and track its implementation to ensure easy access to and transparency in business information for effective decision making.
JV Management:
- Assist the JVs in accessing resources and services (e.g., skills, data, tools, best practices, relationships) inside the company.
- Monitor and manage or coordinate information requests, audits, site visits, and communications with the parent company.
Desired Profile:
- 25 - 32 years of Experience in leading financial Operations of a large scale organization (at least 5000 Crore plus)
- Education : CA
- Accounting, IFRS, Fund raising and liaising with Banks
- Forex regulations
- All aspects of Listed company (Shareholders, SEBI regulations etc)
- Exposure in Manufacturing Environment is desirable.
- Exposure to ERP like SAP is a must.
