Job Description :
- PLM Architect - EOPS Engineering Tools: Product Lifecycle Management architect with TeamCenter expertise to drive the PLM and Model Based Enterprise (MBE)
- Drive the Teamcenter platform capabilities and services and translating them for Engineering, ISC, and Deployment teams
- Enable business groups (Eng, IT, etc) on ongoing Teamcenter customization and provide platform technology stack presentations in various forums.
- Train team on Teamcenter capabilities and on-board various business teams and their business/engineering process
- Review and give feedback to Engineering and Deployment teams on their FCIs, deployment and configuration documentations Solution engineering and design including functional requirements, user stories, functional design and architecture
- Manage Quality & Compliance documentation for PLM systems software as assigned
- Lead and Mentors other development team members on technical with strong Teamcenter /PLM process and tools knowledge
- Works with support groups to identify and execute improvement activities to reduce cost and cycle time.
- Develops and maintains long-term relationships with key stakeholders to identify new business opportunities.
- Be the single point of contact for all PLM / TeamCenter related activities and queries at HTS Aerospace.
- Lead and drive development and communication of the technical intent of requirements working closely with product management and engineering
- Define, lead and execute Teamcenter focused technical forums for Aero Honeywell
- Drives discussions and looks beyond the obvious for continuous improvement opportunities
- Grooms platform product backlog as needed in addressing delivery impediments or product quality issues
- Uses technical acumen to provide design alternatives, ask probing questions and support the team in technical issue resolution
- Tracks and communicates team velocity, financials, and other KPIs in relation to the plan and published progress reports
- Coordinates communications, escalates and facilitates resolution of risks, issues, and changes tied to the product development initiatives
- Hands-on technical leadership, research and analysis of technology shifts and trends in the PLM. As needed, perform assessments and evaluations of -technologies in the marketplace or internally within Honeywell.
- Ensure that all bottlenecks / risks are identified and addressed proactively for a successful global deployment
- Convince external parties that have a desire to reach agreement to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches. Clearly and succinctly communicates status, risks, and required actions for multiple projects. Communicates effectively in all directions within the organization. Tailors message and style for each audience. Uses influence skills internally and externally to break barriers for stakeholders.
- Interacts closely with business and functional management and customers/suppliers to develop plans and actions for continued improvements in quality, cycle time, and cost. Provides overall direction to team leaders based on program and business objectives.
Mentors and coaches team members and stakeholders. Teams with business and program leaders to develop messaging and communication strategies for programs and the Product area in general. Introduces new tools and methodologies for team communication. Regularly interacts with Tier 3 and above internal and external leadership.
- B.E. / B. Tech / or equivalent in Computer Science & Engineering
- Overall 12+ Years of Technical experience in PLM / MBE
- Expert knowledge of Teamcenter PLM is required
- Minimum of 8 years of experience with development and configuration of Teamcenter PLM is required.
- Experience leading teams and external suppliers on driving strategies on Teamcenter PLM development, customization and deployment.
- Experience leading projects and guiding the technical guidance to team on Teamcenter solution
- Experience working with PLM systems and expert level understanding of business cases.
- Experience mapping business processes and associated requirements is required.
- Excellent Interpersonal and People Handling Skill
- Ability to work in a complex stakeholders environment which includes various Business Leaders/Finance
- High level of customer focus, collaboration, planning and execution.
- Ability to effectively manage conflicting situations
Effective Communication Skills :
- Experience with Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience with CM solution like SVN, Git etc is required
- Experience with Project management practices is required.
- Experience leading teams and external suppliers is required.
- Experience presenting Demos from Sprints as part of the Agile methodology
- Experience with incorporating user feedback into solutions.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to effectively collaborate across time zones and cultures
- Engages with key customers, internal stakeholders (cross functional teams, business partners) to achieve business objectives.
- Deals effectively with the dynamics of a distributive work environment and creates collaborative work culture in line with the One-Honeywell approach
- Support User/Business Queries, generate engineering data reports and work with the business leaders for any actions.
(Preferable - Exposure to Aerospace Engineering Processes and Systems will be an added advantage)
