Our work involves building state-of-the-art Information Retrieval (IR) infrastructure, extracting structured-data from unstructured-content, automatic item classification, storage systems to hold the massive catalog and distributed systems of cloud-scale. Job Description:
- 12 - 16 Years of experience. Any Engineering Manager / Development Manager / Technical Manager from any product company will fit for this role
Technical:
- Very strong in Design(High and low level), Technical deep dive and development areas (should be from C++, java background - NO BI/ELT side of experience )
- Should be good in - Design, Coding and Management skills
- Program management - Strong in program management, Product Management, Project management
Qualification: Should BE/Btech - ME / Mtech (IIM's)
- The ideal candidate will be strong on program management and will be comfortable in interacting with a number of technical and non-technical stakeholders. In addition, the ability to work backwards and think about the program from a customer perspective is crucial.
- This opportunity requires excellent problem-solving and communication skills. The successful candidate will find practical and simple solutions to complicated problems without sacrificing quality or core functionality.
You must be able to:
- Interact with Project Sponsors, other Technical Program Managers, and multiple development teams to define and deliver complex cross-functional projects.
- Run in front of the software development team, helping define user stories, research appropriate technical solutions, and provide guidance to the team regarding architecture, design, and priorities.
- Build and maintain a complete project schedule, make it constantly visible to management and key stakeholders, and drive it through to completion.
- Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.
- Engage with [many] other teams in the company, evangelizing the team and your project, building relationships and helping identify existing components and technologies that can be leveraged to deliver on our goals.
- Identify, assess, track and mitigate issues and risks at multiple levels.
- Create, maintain and disseminate project information to stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications:
- A successful candidate will have a strong software development background, excellent problem solving, project management, and communication skills.
- The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field (e.g. computer science, engineering).
- 10 or more years of relevant work experience in a software development with 5+ years as technical contributor (software development engineering) and 5+ years of technical leadership, and project management roles.
- Experience in managing and delivering large cross-functional projects.
- Track record for being detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow-through on projects
- Experience with business applications such as Word, Excel and Project.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge on current web technologies.
- Experience with agile methodologies.
- Experience in Unix/Linux environments, distributed systems and/or developing large scale web applications.
