Summary of Responsibilities

Cloudtail is seeking a Senior Tax Analyst who can take up the responsibilities in the area of indirect tax and customs compliances.

This position will be primarily focused on working closely with the imports team and ensure that international shipmentsare processed in adherence to customs regulations. This position will also be sharing the responsibility on advising and detailing out action plan on all indirect tax matters.

The Senior Analyst will be required to counsel the imports team on all matters relating to customs legislations like tariff classifications, rate of customs duties and product compliances. The role would involve extensive representation on behalf of the company before tax and customs authorities and keeping the company ready for any departmental audits. The position will also be responsible for working with external advisors and handling tax litigation.

Basic Qualifications:

- 5+ years of experience in handling indirect tax matters with a working knowledge of customs legislations

- Experience in representing before tax department authorities and interacting with business partners and external agencies

- Preferably a Chartered Accountant

- Experience working with cross-functional teams

- Maintain a high level of attention to detail, the ability to work independently, adjust priorities, and work in a continuously changing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Good Understanding of the retail business

- Fluency in Excel

- Solid communication skills - written and verbal

- Self-starter with the ability to drive initiates on his/her own.
