Senior Tax Accountant - US GAAP (Corp. Tax)


Primary Responsibilities:

- Prepare US Corporate Federal Income Tax Returns-1120 and 1120PC

- Prepare US State Income Tax Return,State estimates and extensions

- Work on legal entity GAAP and Statutory tax provisions

- Preparation of US International Tax Returns including Form 5471s and supporting statements.

- Communicate with US team members as per agreed terms with Business

- Demonstrate knowledge of GAAP and STAT accounting principles

- Demonstrates expertise on tax concepts (Current and deferred tax, effective tax rate, etc..)

- Demonstrate knowledge on applicable US Tax Regulations

- Demonstrate proficiency in the use of applicable software including Excel, Word, ONESOURCE, PeopleSoft etc.\

- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Qualifications - External

Required Qualifications:

- B.com, MBA in finance, EA, CA/CPA

- 5 to 7 years of experience in US Corporate Tax

- Working knowledge of software tools ( Ex: MS Excel, MS Access database)

- Good knowledge in MS Excel (Pivots, Vlookup, Hlookup, Index etc.)

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Attention to details and accuracy

- Make Fact-Based Decisions

- Deliver Quality Results

- Good Accounting Skills

- Ability to work and Deliver within tight deadlines

- Adhere to the timelines

Preferred Qualification :

- Prior Tax experience in US Insurance sector with good knowledge of the OneSource tax software.

Work Hours: From 11:00 a.m. to 8:30pm from April to January and 6:00 pm to 3:30 am during Feb and March. Should be ready to work beyond normal shift timings especially when required during year end and compliance season.
