Senior Staff Accountant (US Shift)

- Our Client is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant. The Senior Staff Accountant will be responsible for overseeing and managing key aspects of the accounting operations of our company. This position requires strong leadership, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage complex accounting tasks while ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
- To be successful in this role, you need to multi-task, take initiative, collaborate, and effectively manage time. You must have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting with 7-10 years of accounting experience. Additionally, you will need to analyze financial information and communicate the results and analysis effectively. This role is a full-time.
This position services the US office and hence will be required to work as per the US timings.
- Develop and monitor accounting policies and procedures to maintain accordance with GAAP.
Team Leadership and Staff Development:
- Act as a mentor to the accounting staff, take initiative to learn and develop and train the team on new tasks and process improvements.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets and financial forecasts.
Process Improvement:
- Constantly seek ways to streamline processes, demonstrating initiative and a self-starter attitude.
Project Management:
- Lead and participate in special projects, demonstrating the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Confidential Information Handling:
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity, particularly in compliance with HIPAA privacy laws.
Proactive Leadership:
- Act as a key support to the Head of Finance, demonstrating the ability to understand and manage their daily responsibilities, especially during their absence.
Independent Problem-Solving:
- Jump into tasks and projects, quickly figuring things out on your own with minimal supervision.
Strategic Support:
- Provide strategic support to the finance department, initiating improvements and offering solutions proactively.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting, finance, or related field. CPA or CMA preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements, a knowledge of IFRS is a plus.
- High proficiency in accounting software (Sage Intacct and Planful experience a plus) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and work collaboratively in a team environment.

- Position Type, Work Environment and Physical Demands
- This is a full time, salaried, that predominantly operates out of Pune office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the individual will be required to regularly hear and talk. This is a largely sedentary role requiring the ability to sit at a desk, reach outward, use a phone, have use of fingers to operate office equipment such as a keyboard, mouse, phone, printer, copier, and to reach above the head, bend, or stand as necessary.
Location : Viman Nagar, Pune. 5 days working out of office in US Shift timings
