Senior Risk Architecture Specialist - Global Consulting firm - Contractual

Project Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Risk Architecture Specialist to join our consulting clients team in Riyadh. This role requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in risk management and will involve creating a robust risk architecture framework for the bank to identify, measure, and manage risks effectively. There is a high probability of extension or conversion to permanent resource after the completion of this 6-month contract role.

Key Responsibilities:

- Technical Assessment: Conduct a detailed technical examination of existing risk systems and data architectures, identifying strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.

- Risk Ecosystem Analysis: Carry out a comprehensive discovery of all existing risk ecosystems. This includes documenting system functional capabilities, architectures, models and flows.

- Risk Data Analysis: Document high-level usages of risk data, tracking where and how it's used, who is using it, and its overall impact.

- Reference Architecture: Provide a reference architecture for enterprise risk data within the banking sector, mapping existing risk systems/data to identify maturity levels, gaps, and issues.

- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a long-term risk architecture strategy tailored to the bank's needs.

- Governance Framework: Establish a governance framework for managing risk architecture, including processes, people, service delivery models, technology, performance insights, and overall governance.

- Architectural Artefacts: Develop and create architecture artefacts in standard modelling languages to describe, analyze, and visualize risk architectures within and across business domains.

- Risk Architecture Diagrams: Create and develop diagrams of risk architectures, offering views of business, application, and technology layers.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in risk management, finance, economics, or a related field.

- A minimum of 10 years of experience in risk management, data governance & regulatory compliance, preferably with a consulting firm.

- Past experience in developing, implementing, or managing risk management systems such as Murex, OFSAA, Moody's Credit Lens, Fusion Risk, ALGO Credit Manager, etc.

- Strong Program Management skills, with an ability to lead multi-disciplinary complex projects efficiently.

- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
