Title: Senior Specialist - Private Equity (PE)

Location: Mumbai (Hybrid)

Salary - INR 1400000 -1800000

Job Summary:

- The Senior Specialist - Private Equity is responsible for supporting our client's investment team in the analysis, execution, and management of private equity investments. The client is a leading Middle East based PE and VC fund.

- This role involves conducting due diligence, financial modelling, market research, and working closely with portfolio companies to drive value creation. The Senior Specialist plays a critical role in helping the firm identify and execute investment opportunities while ensuring the success of current investments.

- Depending on the individual's skill sets and experience, the responsibilities of the Senior Specialist may be focused on commercial due diligence and analysis related to industry/ market, competitive positioning, strategy and growth OR on operational and financial due diligence, financial analysis, modelling and valuations. Individuals who can demonstrate experience and skills in both aforementioned areas will be strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Investment Analysis and Due Diligence:

- Conduct thorough financial analysis, including detailed financial modelling, valuation, and scenario analysis.

- Perform due diligence on potential investment opportunities, including market research, industry analysis, and competitive landscape assessments.

- Assist in the preparation of investment memos and presentations for the investment committee.

2. Portfolio Management:

- Monitor the performance of portfolio companies, including tracking financial and operational metrics.

- Work with portfolio company management teams to develop and implement value creation strategies.

- Assist in preparing reports and updates for internal and external stakeholders on the status of portfolio companies.

- Conduct market research to identify trends, risks, and opportunities in target industries.

3. Reporting and Documentation:

- Prepare regular reports on portfolio performance, including financial analysis and strategic insights.

- Maintain detailed records and documentation of all investment activities, including due diligence materials, and financial models.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree, CFA or CA designation is preferred.

Experience: 3-5 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, consulting, or a related field.

Skills:

- Strong financial modelling and valuation skills, with an understanding of PE/ M&A deals, PE investment lifecycle and related processes. Exposure to the tech-enabled sector is highly preferred. OR Expertise in the techenabled sector with a focus on areas such as market analysis and forecasting, strategy and growth consulting/ advisory.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases.

- Strong communication and presentation skills.

- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
