Senior Specialist - Data Scientist - Asset Servicing Firm

The CA&S group is seeking a Senior Data Scientist Specialist with financial services experience to join our Asset Servicing business. The candidate should bring expertise in uncovering insights and identifying patterns with a background in Data Technologies. The focus of this unique role will be lead a team tasked with leveraging the vast amounts of financial, transaction, operational and client qualitative data to identify value client insights related to share of wallet, revenue opportunities and combating attrition. We are looking for an outstanding, committed, inquisitive and self-driven professional with hands-on experience in machine learning and big data. An individual who can provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise on next generation analytics capabilities across Big Data, Machine Learning, Pattern recognition, Social Media, NPS and Survey Analytics.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

- Provide expertise in big data analytics from a data science and data engineering perspective (expertise in data manipulation, visualisation, building and optimizing classifiers using machine learning and deep-learning based techniques)

- Monitor the team's overall progress within all aspects of their programs and projects, as well as proactively responding to any risks or issues, which may arise.

- Create / Contribute to the creation of new innovation project proposals including the pre socialisation with stakeholders, the creation of business cases, cost and revenue projections.

- Manage multiple concurrent initiatives and projects of varying sizes & complexity

- Create new & maintain existing partner and vendor relationships.

- Effective upward and downward communication on all notable progress to all key stakeholders

Knowledge / Experience

- Master's (Doctorate Degree preferred) in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Math, or related disciplines

- Experience applying statistical methods (distribution analysis, classification, clustering, etc.). The individual requires excellent analytical skills required to mine data, develop algorithms and then analyze results to determine decisions or actions

- This role requires the ability to build powerful relationships though establishing credibility with Segment Executives, Business Executives, Relationship Executives, Product Managers, Technology and Operations at all levels of the organization

- At least 5 years- experience in using data science with a focus on deep neural nets, statistics, empirical data analysis, machine learning and Natural Language Processing

- At least 5 years- experience tackling problems involving Big Data, e.g., using the Apache Spark / Hadoop Stack

- Thorough understanding of probability and statistics, Bayesian methods, time series analysis

- Experience of applied research, experimental development and early design activities to validate/invalidate ideas

- Experience and in-depth knowledge of Python and other modern programming languages

- Experience in at least one specialized statistical computing environment, preferably R

- Experience in practical data processing, data mining, text mining and information retrieval tasks

- Knowledge of Python's data analysis and machine learning libraries a strong plus

- Extensive experience in Tableau Server and Tableau Desktop in various versions of Tableau 9.x/10.x

- Exceptional in Business Intelligence (BI) and data warehousing concepts

- Experience in managing a portfolio of early stage initiatives through to successful delivery

- Experience of delivering complex programs involving multiple stakeholders across different geographical locations with a significant amount of uncertainty

- Excellent presentation and communication skills to explain results and methodologies to non-technical stakeholders

- Creative problem solver comfortable with working in rapidly evolving landscape and projects loaded with uncertainty
