About the role :
As a Specialist you will lead and deliver advanced analytics for Internal Audit . The role provides an opportunity to use your analytics expertise to provide assurance and business insights that support company's vision of resilience.
Your key tasks will involve defining the problem to be solved and understanding the available data through discussions with IA's subject matter experts.
Then you will assess the feasibility of a positive outcome before recommending an analytics approach.
Afterwards you will obtain and prepare the data before doing the modelling, evaluation and presentation of results.
All advanced analytics use cases will be related to the control environment and help assess if a risk is being effectively managed and related controls are operating effectively.
The role is primarily focused on adding value by understanding, defining and assessing problems that can be solved with common algorithms and are typically smaller duration projects.
The objective is not only to help IA provide assurance but also provide a compelling reason for the business to apply advanced analytics in the control environment.
Typically the use of cutting edge algorithms and latest "big data" technologies is not the primary focus.
As IA is developing an advanced analytics capability you will also help develop other team member's skills and increase awareness in audit staff by leading knowledge sharing sessions and providing on-the-job coaching.
The role will include infrequent travel (up to 5-10%).
About the team
The newly created Analytics Production Center within Business Solutions is based in Bangalore and provides analytics support to IA and Compliance.
Each team member works functionally for either IA or Compliance, however, collaboration and knowledge sharing across the team is actively encouraged.
For example, on topics such as analytics approaches, problem solving, tooling and available data sources.
IA provides independent and objective assurance that assists the Board of Directors and Group Executive Committee to protect the assets, reputation and sustainability of the organisation.
We perform audit activities designed to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of the Group's internal control systems, and to add value through improving the Group's operations.
We build our success on our people and aim to attract, retain and develop critical thinkers and leaders who have a passion to perform and provide insights into the business.
