The Programme Management Office is the information hub for projects and programmes within the portfolio and involves tracking/reporting, assurance/quality control, information management, financial tracking, risk/issue tracking, change control, support and knowledge management/learning from experience.
The Programme Management Office will add value through the knowledge, skills and experience of its staff.
Overall Purpose of Role :
- The role of Programme Management Office is to support the Programme Management Office Team including:
- 10-15 years of experience in IT industry handled Banking projects, min 5 years- experience working in PMO role and managed multiple projects
- Work experience with Big 4 as PMO
- PMP certificationis preferred
- MBA from premiere institute
Job Description :
1. Be an integral part from project planning phase to create structured schedule and project plan
2. Plan the goals, resources, dependencies across teams, risks, budget constraints
3. Define project management processes, standards and governance model
4. Develop the IT Project Standards guide, seeking contributions from Project Managers, QA Team, Development Team and Service Implementation Lead to ensure that the Standards meet best practice
5. Build up a repository of project templates both technical and management to support the Project Managers - use examples from current and past projects to identify best practice Define the standard QA solutions to be deployed for each project and enable the project manager to implement the same
6. Define the project tracking KPIs and metrics
7. Define the required data and data collection methods to generate the KPIs and metrics for projects
8. Define the project documentation to be done during the project and at the end of projects
Project Execution and Governance
9. Tracking the deliverables, timeline and budget throughout the project duration
10. Track project management processes, standards and governance
11. identify and address the project challenges and enable the project managers
12. Ensure high quality of delivery and within timelines with expected margins
13. Present the project status to internal stakeholders via dashboards
14. Revisit the project plan and revise the scope, cost and effort accordingly
15. Track the scope creep and timeline extension which may impact the commercials and create an agreement with client for change request and extension cost
16. Conducting project management workshops for project managers to follow standard methodology
17. Ensuring project plans are created and maintained, deliverables tracked against time and cost, and resource utilisation is monitored
Project documentation :
18. Work with project team to ensure documentation is centralised and readily available for internal use
19. Assess the completeness of the project documentation, completeness, and alignment with stated objective and goals. Also ensure in Regulatory requirement for documentation audit
20. Document the project learning and socialise internally
