Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Risk Analytics Consultant
In this role, you will:
- Lead or participate in moderately complex initiatives, and delivering insight and decision strategies within analytics and reporting, and contribute to large-scale planning related to Risk Analytics
- Review and analyze moderately complex data aggregation, forecasting, reporting, and programming models
- Be responsible for process production, data reconciliation, and model documentation in alignment with policy governance
- Resolve data, production, business modeling, and lead team to meet Risk Analytics deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of risk reporting policies, modeling strategies, procedures, regulatory requests, and compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with peers, experienced managers, compliance, and technology to resolve modeling, forecasting, and production issues, and achieve analytic and reporting goals
- Lead projects, teams, and mentor less experienced staff
- Partner with cross enterprise risk analysts in development of common modeling strategies
Required Qualifications, US:
- 4+ years of Risk Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Required Qualifications, International:
- Experience in Risk Analytics, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Solid problem-solving skills
- Ability to research, trend, and analyze data
- 2+ years of SAS experience
- Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Good project management skills
- Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional area
- Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
- Knowledge and understanding of issues or change management processes

- Knowledge of loss forecasting techniques.
- Data governance & oversight (G&O) expertise or comparable experience
- Knowledge of modeling and exploratory analytical techniques.
- Ability to research and reconcile general ledger accounts

Job Expectations:
- The credit risk management team, supporting Small Business Banking (SBB), is seeking a highly motivated and talented risk professional to be a part of our loss forecasting team as a Lead Risk Analytics Consultant. The business operates with an entrepreneurial spirit and is dedicated to operational excellence, team member development and redefining possibilities. This lead position will be in the critical loss forecasting function, which directly impact tactical and strategic business decisions and regulatory compliance. To be effective in this position, you will need good understanding of business objectives, credit risk management, loss forecasting process, and rigorous control environment. You will have the opportunity to apply your superb analytical, problem solving, team work, and communication skills to a critical business function.
- Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Coordinate and run production controls and change management.
- Continual process improvement
- Effectively communicate loss forecast narrative, results and methodology to senior management
- Analyzing portfolio trends and external factors to provide basis for management adjustment
- Partnering with other functional areas such as Collections Operation and Finance
- Key contributor in our business loss forecasting process and Stress Tests
- Actively obtain feedback from multiple functional areas including acquisitions, account management and collections to understand how these groups can impact our future losses
- Review the impact of changing macroeconomic conditions and their impact on Small Business Banking losses
