Job Description:.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced General Manager of Projects to join our reputed bulk drug manufacturing company based in Gujarat.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and managing project activities related to the construction, expansion, and improvement of our manufacturing facilities.
Key Responsibilities:.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of all projects within the designated timelines and budget constraints.
- Lead a team of project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure successful project delivery.
- Develop project plans, budgets, and schedules, and monitor progress against key milestones.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including production, engineering, quality control, and regulatory affairs teams, to ensure project alignment with organizational goals.
- Manage all aspects of project risk, including identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines throughout the project lifecycle.
- Communicate project status, issues, and risks to senior management and stakeholders on a regular basis.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management processes and practices.
- Collaborate with external vendors, suppliers, and contractors to source materials and services required for project execution.
- Uphold a strong commitment to safety, quality, and environmental sustainability in all project activities.
Qualifications and Experience:.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering).
- Minimum of 18 years of experience in project management within the pharmaceutical or bulk drug manufacturing industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to pharmaceutical manufacturing is highly desirable.
- PMP certification or equivalent is a plus.
