Senior Project Buyer - Hub - Wind & Solar Energy

Senior Project Buyer (Hub)

The incumbent to the role will be responsible for project related procurement including power evacuation system up to 400KV, BOS contracts etc for solar and wind plants. Ensuring quality control and adhering to the company's policies and procedures will be some of your main priorities when carrying out this role.

Strategy and Development

Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice procurement strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.

General and Task Management

- Ensure that policies and processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs in terms of quality and delivery targets and which enables the company to function and compete effectively in the market

- Create and review opportunities to implement best practices, processes and procedures to aid and improve business performance and deliver best value and business savings

- Evaluate the challenges faced by the business and take action to mitigate risks

- Ensure to follow guidelines and any associated documents which are in place and update when required

- Provide management reports and key performance data

- Have a process in place to measure effective performance, quality, and compliance. Measure against KPI criteria

Vendor Management

- Manage the Vendors Qualification Process

- RFI, RFP / RFQ, tender process management & Vendors Key Account Management

- Negotiation and management of Vendors Framework agreements (and standardization thereof) & Score Supplier performances and report on the supplier KPI, Reports on Equipment and services cost analysis

- Manage complete procure to pay cycle.

Contract Management:

- Draft and Manage contracts for various suppliers and contractors.

- Manage claims to/from customers and suppliers & claim settlement process jointly with Project Manager.

- Support to the Project, Legal and Finance / Accounts teams on relevant matters.

- Execute his/hers responsibilities according to lawful and ethical standards, as referenced in Organizations ethical chart.

Relationship Management

- Building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships with customer-oriented thinking and solutions-based mindset to ensure optimal performance

- Work collaboratively, negotiate and engage with key stakeholders to facilitate efficient delivery of services

- Communicate with stakeholders the impact of market change and potential effects on supply.

- Stay current and up to date on any changes that may affect the set processes and advise others of any impact

Qualifications and Experience Levels

- M.E/M.Tech, B.E. / B. Tech (Electrical Engg/Electronics Engg/Mechanical Engg)

- Min. 10-14 Years in Renewable Energy and expertise in Project Procurement for Wind and Solar Projects.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access).

- Exposure to working across geographically spread teams including international locations preferable

- Knowledge of PowerBI, SAP will be given preference
