A Day in the Life
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Plans, directs and implements all aspects of the company's design and development of new medical device products or software systems.
- May develop, evaluate, implement and maintain technical quality assurance and control systems or reliability systems and standards pertaining to materials, techniques, or company products.
- Oversees the investigation and evaluation of existing technologies.
- Guides the conceptualization of new methodologies, materials, machines, processes or products.
- Directs the development of new concepts from initial design to market release.
- Manages feasibility studies of the design to determine if capable of functioning as intended.
- Monitors documentation maintenance throughout all phases of research and development.
- Organizes the coordination of activities with outside suppliers and consultants to ensure timely delivery.
- Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
You Will:
- Lead cross functional teams including Design teams, Manufacturing Operations, Supply Chain Planning, Sourcing, Labeling, Contract Manufacturers, and Quality through the product development process to ensure successful completion of projects and business goals.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and resource tracking for assigned projects. Ensure timely and effective communication to update stakeholders (including multiple teams, sites and disciplines) on the progress of the project.
- Schedule project meetings, document meeting minutes and key decisions, and track action items
- Ensure alignment between design sub system teams, operations, and core team.
- Ensure- input is incorporated early in process development and quality planning.
- Lead in the preparation and alignment of the official design transfer to operations when metrics support operational readiness!
- Build strong informal and formal communication channels to deliver information that is accurate and- up to date- to all stakeholders
- Organize and guide large numbers of distributed, cross-functional resources successfully.
- Function as the primary point-of-contact for key leaders and stakeholders across the organization
- Communicates with stakeholders, obtains stakeholder engagement to ensure the end products or processes will solve the business problems.
