Prione: Sr. Program Manager, Process Excellence
The Process Excellence (PE) Manager supports, coordinates and facilitates structured process improvement activities aligned to our business goals. He or she fosters a culture of continuous improvement, providing thought leadership and influencing change at all levels in the organization.
The successful candidate for this role will be a fast, clear and independent thinker who is naturally curious about how things work, is metrics and number savvy, has an analytical mindset and has demonstrated leadership ability. This person will need an ability to see the big picture/whole system and execute on grass root level to improve the overall network. Additionally, they are never satisfied with the status quo, can show success in following-up and getting things done and have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-centric and ever changing omarketplace environment.
Responsibilities-Overview:
The Process Excellence Manager will use Lean tools to assist in identifying and steady elimination of waste (muda), improvement of quality, reducing production time and cost. The tools used will include (but not limited to) Continuous Improvement (Kaizen), the "5 Whys" and mistake-proofing (poka-yoke). The position will have a focus on improving the 'flow' (thereby steadily eliminating mura, unevenness) through the system, look for opportunities to implement andon everywhere there by building in quality at each step of the process (jidoka), and implement the concepts of Standard Work, Standard Management, and Standard Leadership across all business units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coaches and trains management and project teams on Kaizen concepts and methodologies
- Leads and supports process improvement projects.
- Performs quantitative analysis of key process indicators to identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Demonstrates discretion in coordination of project scoping and prioritization to align with business objectives.
- Communicates across all levels on project and program progress.
- Know the process deeply: Understand each processes from end-to-end in depth in the entire business
- Own the processes : Own every process, understand the gap between the target and the output, responsible for all root cause analysis/cause-effect
- Know the Output : Stay on top of every business metrics, understand the output and impact of the output on the business
- Know the gap : Understand the problem statement in depth, performing the RCA with the right tools and presenting the gap to the concerned team
- Influence the Cross-function: Converting the gap into strategies and action by liaising with cross-functional teams and drive the changes required. Influence the business with the improvement metrics
- Stake Holder Management: Work with cross functional teams to drive over action plans
Basic Qualifications:
- Post-Graduation degree from premier institute with 4+ years of overall experience
- Minimum of 3 years- experience post MBA using Voice of the Customer analysis to drive improvements through the application of Lean and/or Six Sigma tools and concepts.
- Project management experience.
- Experience in or demonstrated ability to lead people/teams without formal responsibility and interacting and building rapport with teams of all levels
- Analytical background - 7 Quality tools, SPC, Hypothesis Testing, Regression Analysis
- Knowledge of Six Sigma tools and Lean techniques required
- Mastery of SharePoint, Excel, Power Point, Word
- Six Sigma Green or Black Belt or Lean Certification is preferred
