1. POSITION VACANT: Senior Program Manager, Reputed NGO, New Delhi
2. ORGANIZATIONAL BACKGROUND:
Our client is a prominent NGO in India and part of a global network, dedicated to enhancing the educational landscape of children in underrepresented communities.
3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Senior Program Manager will report to the Director- Programmes and will be an integral part of the programs team. This role involves overseeing regional programmes to ensure effective program implementation across various areas.
The Senior Program Manager will lead Regional Managers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and engage with key stakeholders, including local officials and educational partners at all levels. The Senior Program Manager will be pivotal in fostering collaboration between the Country Office and the Global Office.

Key Responsibilities:
A. Programme Planning and Management
(1) Lead project planning, execution, and monitoring across multiple states, ensuring adherence to timelines and deliverables;
(2) Manage financial aspects of projects, including budget tracking and reporting, identifying areas for cost optimization;
(3) Foster collaboration with state teams, addressing any operational challenges and ensuring timely resolution;
(4) Maintain open lines of communication with all stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress and issues;
(5) Recognize implementation challenges and propose solutions or escalate them to the Program Director for resolution;
(6) Innovate and implement systems that are responsive and adaptable, aimed at optimizing operational efficiency within field activities.
B. Program Delivery and Efficiency:
(1) Design and implement tracking systems for operational processes, ensuring efficient internal communications and documentation flow;
(2) Collaborate with state managers to enhance operational practices and drive effective program delivery in the field;
(3) Work alongside the M&E team to assess program outcomes and suggest actionable improvements to processes;
(4) Ensure that operational systems are flexible and scalable to adapt to programmatic changes.
C. Knowledge Management and Documentation:
(1) Develop and oversee comprehensive implementation calendars, budgets, and operational guidelines to align with organizational objectives;
(2) Aggregate and analyze program reports from various states to ensure consistency with strategic priorities and actionable insights;
(3) Facilitate the documentation of best practices and key lessons learned for continuous improvement and knowledge sharing;
(4) Contribute to the creation of strategic documents and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
D. Partnership Building:
(1) Cultivate partnerships with NGOs and government entities to advance educational initiatives and program visibility;
(2) Stay abreast of trends in the education sector to inform program strategies and advocacy efforts;
(3) Represent the organization at various forums and events, effectively communicating its mission and objectives.
E. Technical Support and Capacity Building:
(1) Support the development and execution of proposals for technical assistance projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals;
(2) Provide constructive feedback and support to enhance program efficiency and effectiveness;
(3) Collaborate with teams to promote innovative practices in educational programming.
F. Additional Responsibilities:
(1) Participate in strategic initiatives and contribute to the achievement of the organization's objectives;
(2) Undertake field visits as necessary to monitor program implementation and engage with stakeholders;
(3) Complete additional tasks as assigned to support overall program operations and organizational goals.
4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualification:
Master's in education / social sciences / social work or equivalent.
Experience:
(1) Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in project management, including expertise in planning, monitoring, and evaluating education programs across multiple states.
(2) Demonstrated financial management skills, encompassing strategic planning, budgeting, financial forecasting, and the ability to analyze and manage financial resources for various programs.

(2) Excellent verbal and written communication skills for diverse audiences.

5. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
The gross compensation budgeted for the position is in the range of INR 30 lacs per annum. The offer made to the selected candidate shall be based on experience and salary history. Additional benefits include a one-month bonus, comprehensive health insurance, and other retiral benefits.
6. TRAVEL: Ability to travel to programme states for a minimum of 7 days per month
