Must Have:

- Go-to-Market Guru: Proven ability to develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market strategies (GTM) for new features and product updates. This includes in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential threats.

- Messaging Maestro: A master of crafting compelling product messaging and positioning that resonates with target audiences across various industry verticals. They should be able to translate complex features into clear, concise, and benefit-driven communication.

- Marketing Materials Mastermind: Experience in overseeing the creation of high-quality marketing collateral is essential. This includes website content, case studies, sales enablement materials (e.g., sales decks, one-pagers), and potentially even product brochures or explainer videos.

- Data-Driven Decision Maker: Highly comfortable analyzing marketing campaign performance using key metrics and KPIs (e.g., website traffic, leads generated, conversion rates) to measure success and optimize future initiatives.

Should Have:

- Product Champion: A deep understanding of the product platform and its value proposition. They should be passionate about the product and become a champion within the organization, effectively sharing product knowledge and building excitement across departments. Should be able to explain current product expertise.

- Internal Enablement Expert: Experience in developing and delivering product training programs for internal stakeholders, particularly the sales and customer success teams. This ensures they can effectively sell and support company's platform, leading to successful customer onboarding and renewals. Should be able to display examples of such activities.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration King/Queen: A proven track record of building strong relationships and fostering collaboration across cross-functional teams (product, sales, customer success, engineering). This ensures seamless product launches, ongoing communication, and a unified approach to driving product adoption.

- Industry Awareness: While not mandatory, a strong understanding of the broader business expense management (T&E) landscape and current trends would be a plus. This allows them to anticipate industry shifts and adapt product marketing strategies accordingly.

Nice to Have:

- Budget Boss: Experience in developing and managing product marketing budgets. This demonstrates financial acumen, strategic thinking, and the ability to optimize marketing spend for maximum return on investment (ROI).

- Content Marketing Connoisseur: Expertise in content marketing and lead generation strategies would be a valuable asset. This could include experience with content creation (blog posts, social media content, email marketing campaigns), content management systems (CMS), and content performance measurement.

- SEO/SEM Sorcerer: Knowledge of SEO and SEM best practices would be a plus. This demonstrates an understanding of organic and paid search engine marketing strategies and their potential to drive qualified leads to the company's platform.

- Marketing Automation Magician: Experience with marketing automation tools and platforms showcases a data-driven approach and the ability to streamline marketing workflows, improve campaign efficiency, and personalize customer journeys.
