- The Product Manager supports Oilfield Chemicals with the execution of the strategy which focuses on identifying capturing value by more consistent pricing and price differentiation, improved market and customer orientation and consistent steering of DK's Oilfield Chemicals and its market focusing on long-term value propositioning.
- The delivery of this value proposition is steered via a defined and technical approach to the marketplace. In order to strengthen the team within the global Oilfield Chemicals group we are looking for a B2B Product Manager focused on our corrosion, scaling, biocontrol, phase separation, antifoam, H2S scavenging, DRA and other applicable offerings/consultancy within the oilfield exploration & production industry. Key Responsibilities :
Working with the oilfield management team on:
- Maintaining proper safety attitude through example behaviours
- Product line & segmentation management
- Pricing management and cost reduction programs for products to meet business objectives
- Bids: conduit for bids; planning, costing, selection, sourcing, supplier contacts
- Following market trends and activity (market research and analysis)
- Support the generation of literature including Product Bulletins and Case Studies
- Corrosion & Scale modelling for teams around the world
- Operational introduction and withdrawal of products working closely with manufacturing and R&D
- Management of slow moving stocks
- Share point management
- Develop & support presentational materials
- Seminar support and co-ordination
- ERP / Business warehouse support and reporting
- Special projects to be defined
Work Exp: 5 to 8 years (1 - 3 years of sales experience and 3 - 5 years of marketing experience)
- Demonstrated excellence in one or more of the following fields: market development, product management, direct industry experience or application management
Functional Area & Knowledge:
- Oilfield exploration & production, Oil & Gas Industry
- Needs to have or being able to develop strong content knowledge of oilfield exploration & production or relevant aspects.
- You have above average conceptual and analytical skills. The ideal candidate builds relationships naturally, and expresses ideas with ease in English on paper and face-to-face. You have a self-propelling attitude and inspire and persuade others based on knowledge, expertise and personal drive
Qualification: Degree in Chemistry, Chemical or Petroleum Engineering / BA / BS in a Science or Technical speciality / MBA
