Job Description:

Task & Responsibilities:

- Own the roadmap definition for Microinverter systems in conjunction with CTO and Engineering organizations. You will have experience in power electronics and hardware and or systems engineering background while also bringing in business ideation through prior roadmap definition and development.

- Be obsessed about our customers who they are, what their needs and pain points are, why they trust certain products and not others, and etc.

- Drive meetings with CTO, Engineering teams about future product definition. Capture and articulate product feedback from multiple sources. You will identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share and improve user experience.

- Work closely with system engineering, field applications, hardware engineering teams and be conversant on solar inverter domain.

- Prioritize features based on market demand and impact, get buy-in from all stakeholders (engineering, systems, testing, field).

- Define detailed system requirements with expected sequence of operations. Define system configurations required to support market needs. Bring together an array of distributed components into a cohesive energy management system.

- Own the end-to-end product development process, including business case definition, writing and scoping product requirements, creating feature specifications, testing and validating pre-release product, and more as required.

- Manage and track product development process ensuring agile product development and responsiveness to evolving market needs.

- Define, track, and analyze metrics and measures for product performance.

- Conduct competitive assessments and any related product or technical content that would be used to support sales or account management teams.

- Manage relationships with partners (manufacturing companies, distribution partners, customers, etc.) as the need arises.

What You Need:

- Bachelors in Electronics, Electrical Engineering from Tier 1 engineering colleges (IITs, NITs) with relevant 15+ experience in hardware or systems companies with hands-on engineering experience and relevant role in product definition or product management.

- MBA from a reputed college (IIMs, NITIE, FMS, MDI or other tier 1 B school) along with prior product definition experience in preferably solar inverter domain or in semiconductor (or associated hardware) domains

- Overall 15+ years of professional experience. 5 years of professional experience as a Product Manager and 10+ years as a design or application or system engineer

- Relevant advanced degree such as an MBA and or MS in Electrical / Electronics

- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- Natural peer and team leadership skills

- Desire to work in a highly visible and critical role

- Prior experience in battery storage and/or PV inverter product management

Qualifications /Education, Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Behaviour) and Experience/Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelors in Electronics, Electrical or CS Engineering

- MBA from IIM or Tier 1

- Overall 15+ years of professional experience. 5 years of professional experience as a Product Manager and 10+ years as a design or application or system engineer

- Experience with PV inverter product management / system engineering and or application engineering

Preferred Qualifications :

- GPA of 8 & above

- Prior design, hardware / system experience with semiconductor or PV inverter systems

- Roadmap definition experience on hardware platform

- Masters in Electrical/Electronics/CS
