About our Client: Our Client is a leading MNC in the Media sector alongside a Global presence and an ever-increasing India footprint. They are well poised to challenge the Industry with some remarkable and distinct work in their space, and need a strong Senior Product Manager to fuel and sustain that growth for the portfolio and bridge the technical and the commercial world.
Job Description: In this role, the incumbent will be responsible for:
- Understand and analyze user needs, and conduct research on markets and competitors.
- Establish short and long term product goals and strategies.
- Build and manage a product roadmap to support goals and strategies.
- Initiate and prioritize projects within engineering, track product development and develop product launch plans.
- Engage closely with the Engineering team to help determine the best technical implementation methods and reasonable execution schedules.
- Understand complex business problems, apply strong analytical skill and create an effective strategy.
- Find opportunities to bring new, compelling content to customers.
- Design compelling products and features that customer will care about.
- Develop product vision, strategy and business plans and evangelize within the organization.
- Create and maintain product and feature roadmaps and manage prioritization and tradeoffs.
- Have the ability to communicate directly with technical teams.
- Develop and manage the execution of launch plans.
- Measure and analyze product and feature performance for opportunities to innovate, simplify and create intuitive user interfaces that improve customer experience and increase adoption.
- Have the ability to understand and track trends in the digital content market place for competing products
- Must be able to effectively communicate strategies / plans (both written in narrative form and in verbal presentations) to senior leadership.
- Define measures of success for both developed and nascent businesses including consumer satisfaction, increased selection, customer acquisition, and profitability.
- Develop key metrics and performance indicators to measure overall performance and provide foundation for continuous improvement.
The Successful Candidate:
- You will be an MBA with ~4-8 years of experience in Product management or product design and a strong bias for action besides ability to juggle multiple priorities and create a sense of urgency in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Successful track record in working closely with engineering teams to deliver on aggressive schedules will be desirable.
- Experience working on agile teams with a BA/BS in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience is a plus and not compulsory.
- 4 years of product management or business systems design/analysis experience at a consumer technology or media company is ideal.
- Experience in developing Internet products and technologies with demonstrated experience of developing products from concept to launch are a must.
