Job Description: Senior Product Manager, Amazon Prime
- Amazon Prime is a unique membership program which helps fuel the growth of Amazon's business worldwide. Members enjoy unlimited free expedited shipping on items that are fulfilled by Amazon.
- In the years to come we will dramatically expand our membership, reinventing the program as we go.
- We're constantly thinking about innovative ways to improve the Prime member experience on our Web site, during fulfillment, and even after they receive their shipments.
- The Amazon Prime team is looking for a results-oriented and customer-focused product manager with analytical skills to help shape and impact the next generation of the Prime membership program.
- The product manager will define the next stage of Prime benefits, including variable pricing and bundles as well as new, improved and faster shipping benefits for our members.
- He or she is responsible for researching and identifying new opportunities, developing business and product requirements, writing product specifications, making appropriate tradeoffs to optimize time-to-market, and clearly communicating goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to cross-functional project teams.
- The position requires working closely with business and operations managers, finance, software development and site design.
- Candidates enjoy breaking new ground, bring ideas to the table every day and have a proven track record of delivering a project from concept to execution.
- They have worked in the e-commerce industry -- experience with membership/loyalty programs is a plus.
- They are able to work across multiple teams and use their excellent verbal and written skills to communicate on all levels of the organization.
- They have a strong affinity to technology and software and aren- t afraid of complex analysis. Ideal candidates can think big, but can also go a mile deep in search of an answer.
Requirements :
- 5-7 years- experience in product management
- Deep understanding of e-commerce
- Membership/Loyalty program expertise and/or Business operations background desired
- Great analytical skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and evaluate outcomes.
- Strong business judgment and results orientation
- Outstanding customer focus
- Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, schedule tradeoffs and opportunistic new ideas with technical employees.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- MBA or equivalent work experience required
- Willingness to roll up sleeves and do what's necessary.
