Senior Principal - Thought Leadership Research

About the role :

- This role is in Research team with a focus on Business Strategy & Consulting.

- We seek an experienced, well-rounded business and thought leadership research leader with a passion for business strategy and for reimagining the future of business as well as an interest in identifying new technologies and solution pathways to grow with the changes and challenges ahead.

- The ideal candidate has experience in analyzing macro trends including technological, social, environmental, regulatory, geopolitical trends and their impact on business.

Qualifications : A Bachelor's degree (preferably in business, economics, statistics, engineering or science), plus a full-time Masters/post-graduate degree (preferably in business, economics, statistics, engineering, science, such as business (MBA) or equivalent).

Work Experience : 15+ years business research, thought leadership research and management consulting experience

Location : Bengaluru, India

Reports to : Global Research Lead for Strategy & Consulting

Supervises : Individual contributor role with an opportunity to supervise at a later stage

Key Responsibilities include :

- Influence and Execute Thought Leadership Agenda, including

- Shape and lead development of external thought leadership, in close collaboration with senior business leaders.

- Design and deliver innovative and complex research projects.

- Drive innovation through combination of new research tools, techniques, and approaches.

- Act as a Subject Matter Expert recognized inside and outside organization, including

- Participate in projects as Thought Leadership expert, bringing insight and perspectives on business trends and their impact on current and prospective clients.

- Act as a contributor in external publication medium.

- Publish and present in top tier conferences, workshops and journals.

- Enhance organization's marketplace reputation,

- Work confidently with internal and external networks and other thought leaders on key relevant issues.

- Demonstrate expertise internally (e.g. presentations to internal audiences, participates in community of practice, etc.) and externally (e.g., presentations in conferences, to clients).

- Build deep relationships with teams in partner organizations and researchers in academia.

- Be a talent magnet

- Coach and mentor junior members in the team

Experience and skills :

- Recognized SME

- Strategic thinking and problem solver with the ability to take an issue and turn it into a researchable question

- Analytical skills, including understanding of how to leverage advanced analytics and generative AI to address research questions

- Ability to design, lead and deliver highly complex and innovative thought leadership research

- Proven ability to create a project plan and execute against it

- Ability to craft original, relevant and compelling business storylines

- Ability to address complexity in team management as well as project management

- Ability to lead discussions with and manage senior stakeholders

- Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
