Assignment Brief:
Job Title: Senior Oracle Finance Consultant
Location: Chennai
Division: Information Technology
Reporting to: ERP Manager
Reportees: 1-2
Nature of Work: Sunday to Thursday, regular work from office
Occasional international travel to meet clients
Roles and Responsibilities:
Day-to-Day Support:
- Provide ongoing support for day-to-day business activities, ensuring smooth operation of Oracle Financials.
- Raise and manage Oracle service requests as necessary to resolve issues and maintain system performance.
Project Implementation and Rollout:
- Lead and manage the implementation, configuration, and deployment of new Oracle Financials modules and features, including frequent continuous version upgrades.
- Oversee the rollout of new projects, ensuring they meet business requirements and are delivered on time.
Training and Documentation:
- Conduct training sessions for end-users and update the user manuals to reflect new features and system changes.
- Prepare, review, and maintain comprehensive project documentation and deliverables.
System Enhancement and Optimization:
- Continuously enhance and improve existing business system cycles to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide expert consultation to resolve complex business issues, from initial problem formulation through to execution.
Collaboration and Team Support:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support relevant system setups and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Required Skills:
Technical Expertise:
- Proficient in implementing and supporting Oracle Financial modules, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), Fixed Assets, and Cash Management.
- Strong knowledge of finance and accounting principles and how they integrate with technology solutions.
Analytical and Critical Thinking:
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to think critically and pay attention to detail.
- Capable of identifying issues, assessing risks, and devising solutions that align with business needs.

Required Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management Systems, or a related discipline.
Professional Certifications:
- Relevant certifications in Oracle Financials or related fields are highly desirable.
Required Work Experience:
- 6-10 years of experience in implementing and supporting Oracle Financials modules, with a strong focus on AP, AR, GL, Fixed Assets, and Cash Management.
- Proven track record of managing Oracle Financials projects, from conception through to successful implementation and user adoption.
