Senior Operations Engineering Manager

My client is seeking a Senior leader in Project Engineering to join and lead our client team comprised of highly skilled project managers and engineers responsible for designing, building, launching and improving our client's order fulfillment infrastructure in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.

- The successful candidate will be a highly experienced leader, with experience in leading multiple large scale engineering and build out projects with experience in areas like distribution system, MHE systems/applications, packaging automation, distribution processes and storage systems.

- He/she must be a self-starter, possessing the ability to manage multiple complex projects and tasks simultaneously as well as being able to influence, negotiate and develop relationships at all levels of the organization.

- The candidate must be capable of engineering, project managing, implementing and commissioning large-scale, complex projects. Moreover, this individual will need to be adept at providing program management expertise, stakeholder management and establishing world class project management practices with the team in India.

- In addition, the candidate should have proven track record of building and leading high performance teams that deliver under high pressure.

Key Responsibilities include:

- Provide leadership and manage project managers and engineers distributed across locations to build and grow client’s Indian Fulfillment Center network.

- Establish and drive project management best Practices with respect to planning, reporting, monitoring, documentation, improvement of work methods, budget control and deliver project in a highly dynamic, ambiguous and fast changing environment.

- Develop and manage relationships with various stakeholders (internal and external) to drive and de-bottleneck multiple projects across the country.

- Should be an expert on the unique challenges of the Indian environment in terms of regulation, various agencies and vendors.

- Responsible for leading the team to deliver multiple projects (of varying degree of complexity and size) across the country on an extremely tight timeline.
