Senior Operation Manager - FTL Transportation

Job Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Operations Manager to oversee Full Truck Load (FTL) transportation operations within our cold chain logistics network. This role requires a strong understanding of cold chain transportation, fleet management, and route optimization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring seamless and efficient operations, meeting service level agreements (SLAs), and maintaining quality and compliance standards for temperature-controlled shipments.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage end-to-end operations of the FTL transportation division, focusing on cold chain logistics.

- Oversee the routing, scheduling, and on-time delivery of temperature-sensitive products.

- Monitor and ensure compliance with temperature control standards throughout the logistics process.

- Collaborate with the planning team to optimize load allocation and improve vehicle utilization.

- Lead and manage a team of operations staff, including drivers and fleet managers, ensuring high levels of performance.

- Develop and implement strategies to reduce operational costs while maintaining service quality.

- Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards related to cold chain logistics.

- Work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to meet SLAs and address any service issues.

- Implement process improvements and technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency.

- Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and vendors to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.

- Prepare and present operational performance reports to senior management.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field.

- 8+ years of experience in FTL transportation, preferably within cold chain logistics.

- Strong knowledge of temperature-controlled transportation and cold chain compliance.

- Proven experience in fleet management and route optimization.

- Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and logistics software.

- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
