Senior Microsoft Architect

Roles and Responsibilities:

As a Solution Architect you will work closely with our customers to understand the business requirements and participate in the full life-cycle of engagements to develop innovative solutions.

Responsibilities include a wide range of architectural activities from requirements analysis through systems, application and/or process design specification.

The Architect understands client needs, works in levels of abstraction, applies industry knowledge, and leverages appropriate business elements and information technology to address those needs. This includes working with client personnel and executives to identify functional and non functional requirements and subsequently working with and leading others in the evaluation of options and the identification, justification and design of the client's solution. The Architect is responsible for the overall solution related to quality, performance, availability, scalability and integrity, ensuring solution usability.

Will be responsible RFQ deduction & infer the technical requirements , obtaining vendor quotes ,vendor and product evaluation, Participation in design discussions, delivering documents like HLD,LLD, Project Plan and ATP as per project needs. Will be required to learn & adapt to newer technologies & concepts on project to project basis.

This position will require good analytical skills along with customer interaction.

Key tasks for this position include:

Microsoft Product and application design, testing, installation and commissioning activities of both Business & commercial establishments and Industrial applications which include

- Windows 2003 / 2008 Active Directory

- SCCM and SCOM 2007.

- Exchange 2007

- Skills in Lync 2010 / OCS 2007

- ISA 2006

- Windows 7

- MS SQL

- TMG

- UMG

- Share point

- BIZ Talk

- Min 15-18 years Experience in designing and successful implementation of Microsoft product and application

- Experience in LAN & WAN

- Experience in Various security technology and products

- Experience operating at a senior consultancy level.

- Experience implementing enterprise scale solutions.

- Experience in cloud computing and virtualization environment.

- Strong design and implementation experience.

- Lead the Microsoft technology related discussions with multiple contractors

- On Road map

- On Industry best practices (Specific to Oil & Gas industry – eg. Petro Chemical plants)

- Good customer facing skills.

- Good communication skills with experience presenting technical solutions to clients.

- Experience working for a IT Services or Solution provider.

- Successful development & implementation of Accept Test Procedure

- Provide solid customer service skills, including representing Wipro in customer meetings, presentations, and reviews sessions.

- Manage team of engineers at site with site adaptation and act as customer interface for installation team

Soft Skills Required:

Analytical skills , problem solving ability , good communication & documentation skills . Should be a self starter and possess ability to take lead and take ownership

Qualifications:

BE with Experience: 15 years + Technical / Design experience. Presales / system configuration experience can also be considered.

Certifications : Certifications from International Vendors / Product training will be advantageous

Competencies: Adapting new technology and developing custom solutions in the this domain Knowledge Behavioral Skills : Exposure to Multi cultural team / Middle East assignment is preferred . Willingness to re- locate
