- Managing sales tax compliance process for clients sales tax returns
- Interacting with clients and managing staff
- Corresponding with state and local tax authorities to resolve client issues
- Notice resolution and business licenses for clients Basic Qualifications:
- 8+ years experience with sales tax compliance
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent field a plus
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
- Experience with sales tax preparation software such as Vertex, Avalara, One Source or TaxJar etc.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word and PowerPoint; Alteryx or Power BI a plus; Quickbooks, Shopify and Stripe platforms
- Understanding of sales and use tax issues, including exemption, deductions, prepayments, tax accruals and reserves, journal entries.
- Experience working directly with clients and global counterparts.
Preferred/Desired Qualifications:
- CMI (sales tax) designation a plus
- Masters in Taxation preferred
- CPA a plus
