Senior Manager - Underwriting - Insurance

Job Description:

- Risk assessment and placement of profitable lives on the company books

- Ensure due diligence in underwriting practices and risk evaluation to ensure mortality assumptions are on track

- Evaluate emerging trends, competition practices, formulate options and propose recommendations on guideline to senior management

- Reinsurance portfolio management, maintain relationship with reinsurers for high value cases

- Drive initiatives related to Underwriting Management in line with Organization's functional strategy.

- Supervise and review procedures and ensure for compliance in line with IRDA, Internal guidelines, reinsurance requirements

- Internal & External audit management of the specific underwriting portfolio

- Drive initiatives related to Underwriting Management in line with

Organization's functional strategy :

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS :

Qualification: Medical/Para -medical background will be preferred

Work experience in years: 5 years + in life insurance underwriting

Experience in Managing/Underwriting

Minimum Sign off limit - 1cr or 10 million INR

Experience- 4+ yrs.
